How is it now a superhero movie? Does it need a ton of cgi and sarcastic humor to qualify as a superhero movie?

There's a guy in a ridiculous costume fighting crime and other people in ridiculous costumes :lol

I think, typically, in a superhero movie, the superhero is the focus, but Batman always seemed to be more of a supporting background character to Bruce Wayne. You look at Begins and TDKR and Batman's only present for about a half to a third of each film, and the very idea that Batman can be anyone, while these three films focus solely on Bruce Wayne's tenure seem to indicate, to me, at least, that these were more Bruce Wayne films than Batman movies.

Is this legit? It looks great! Yeah I have something to complain about :lol

No white circle on the Flash's emblem and no Green Lantern.

I wouldn't be surprised if they gave the boot to GL for a while.

I like the first one too, especially with the origin and Willem Dafoe. I prefer 2 though because of Doc Ock and the Spider-Man: No more plot.

Well, nothing tops the trains scene, that's for sure. It's incredible how well that scene holds up.

But I still consider that a superhero movie, even if Batman isn't at the forefront of the movie. It's like Magneto's Testament, a comic that only shows him during his days in the Holocaust, he's uses his powers once in the entire story, but that's still a superhero comic in my opinion. Superhero films can be apart of any genre, even if it's a romance like Superman Returns :lol

Batman Begins is still the only true origin story on live action film so far. Batman 89 never gave an origin and neither did any of the sequels. So it made sense for begins to focus on Bruce Wayne. TDK and TDKR did focused a lot of BW, but Batman still had his moments in it and so did the villains. One of the coolest things for me was finally watching Batman and Catwoman fighting as a team...not just each other. I prefer TDKR over BB because it's more ambitious and more epic in scale than any other Batman film so far, but it still managed to focus on Bruce Wayne and Batman, something the old movies didn't do as well, since they were more about villains chewing the scenery.

I think all 7 Batman movies are superhero movies. Batman v Superman will be too.

Out of all of them, I'd say that Batman Returns is the least "superhero" like. It's a weird *** art film about animal people whose only superhero/summer blockbuster quality was the way it was promoted and the money it raked in.

Uhh? He's retired? Doesn't he have amnesia and doesn't remember he's Batman?

And in the cartoons he only retired when he needed adult diapers.

In the comics he has a new healed brain...tough to pull off in a live action movie, but he still chose not to be Batman...he will eventually be Btman again, but the point is, he's having a good time with a chick and having a normal life...even the Joker is happy having a normal life now too. They are both retired.

In the cartoon, he did not need diapers when he retired in the pilot episode. He was older, but he was wearing the Batman Beyond suit. By the time Terry shows up, it was like 20 years after he retired.

The reason Batman doesn't retire, or any other A list superhero for that matter is because they've been milked for 70 plus years :lol

So he does remember he's Batman and all that makes him Batman? Don't mind the spoiler, I don't care, you can tell me :lol

Don't get me wrong I think all the stuff Gully posted is wrong, about the detective skills and all that, I think Nolan Batman is a pretty good Batman, more subdued, but it qualifies.

He know he was Batman because I guess he found out about it or something...maybe Gordon told him...I haven't read all the issues yet, but because the liquid from the cave( End Game story) healed all the injuries, including his brain, he literally has a new brain. It's not amnesia. He'll have to learn ALL his skills from the beginning...and I guess he was like, **** that! :lol Did you see the picture of the normal healed Joker?

:lol I haven't caught up with a bunch of series, only Supes' and JL.

I'm sure they'll find a plot device to make him heal instantly, no way he's learning all that **** again.

For those who love Iron Man 2008, how do you feel about the extended version that they air on cable that ends up being 3 1/2 hours with commercials.
