This is sort of off-topic, but I know how much some of you guys hate Jim Lee, and I've always tried to defend him, myself, saying that his ****** design choices don't make him a bad artist, but he and Didio...they've crossed the line. Bear witness to the Scooby Apocalypse:

Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!'
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away."

I don't know, they seem reasonably modernized, they're clearly attempting to cater to the millennials.

Sure the designs are crap, hipsters are outdated now, but it seems reasonable Shaggy would be a hipster today, Velma a gamer loli and Fred an even bigger *********, which also looks outdated, like a 2000's ********* with his tribal tattoos and everything.

**** you, Gaspar. **** you, maaaaaaaaaaaan.

Also, holy ****. I just now realized that ****** goggle thing Scooby's wearing is projecting a string of holographic emojis. Is that how he talks, now? **** you, Jim Lee, **** you, Dan Didio, and **** you, too, Gaspar.

:lol I'm not saying they're good, they're obviously awful, they should've stayed with the classic look.

But they are modernized accurately, I don't think Marvel would've done anything differently except making one of them "diverse" or "genderfluid".

Eh, it will probably appeal to kids. The Johnny Quest/Space Ghost/Herculoids/etc. crossover seems kind of interesting.
Scooby Doo has been stupid since those Freddy Prinze Jr movies a decade and a half ago. Jim Lee isn't "ruining" anything. Classic 70's series or fail.
You must not have seen some of the terrible TV shows and DTV animated movies that came out in the '90s. Or hell, A Pup Named Scooby Doo. The originals weren't all that great, either, in hindsight. But good for kids, and charming in their simplicity I guess.

90's Scooby? Yeah I must have missed that. :lol Not surprised though, I had absolutely no idea that He-Man had been rebooted as a space warrior in the 90's until just a few years ago. Heck I didn't even know that DiC continuted GI Joe until pretty recently.

I really don't think they are, though. You said yourself that half of them look like outdated stereotypes. Daphne looks like she belongs in Gen 13 or some **** Him dos at Image in the '90s, Velma's just generic as hell, Fred looks like he belongs in a Smash Mouth music video (which really doesn't work for 2016), and Scooby's high-tech new gear, sans era appropriate Emojis looks like, you guessed it, more '90s Image ****. Shaggy' the only one who's timely, but it's still "ugh." I look at this ****, and then I look at what Francesco Francavilla, Fiona Staples, Mark Waid, and others are doing for Archie, and it makes the cringe even worse.

You know what? It's not too late, DC. BE DERIVATIVE. Go to Francavilla and tell him you want him to do for Scooby Doo what he did for Archie, then, proceed to burn all evidence that this existed and delete everything you possibly can from the Internet to make people forget this unholy abomination.

True about Daphne, she looks like a generic Image revolution babe, although Velma looks like a Gamer Loli, that **** is cash right now :lol

And yeah you're right about Fred too, I think he should've been like one of the Instagram twinks who pucker up when they take a selfie, or a ****boi, those are the *********s of 2015/2016 :lol

Shaggy although a bit outdated, I wouldn't imagine him any other way today.

But I think Jim Lee's style is what makes everything look even more outdated, the dude is a mediocre artist these days, and an even worse designer imo, his style is eternally and inherently 90's.

Still looks better than the new Ghostbusters movie...

Honestly, I'd take Ghostbusters on potential entertainment value, alone. I've laughed during all of Feig and McCarthy's movies that I've seen, so, even though I dislike their use of the Ghostbusters license in a film that they could have very well made without resorting to it, I'll give it more of a shot than this, on that basis, alone. I look at this and I just feel sad, for some reason.

But look at all those cute and funny emoji's. :D

It's too much for me. Jim Lee has lost his ******* mind, and I don't know that I'll ever be able to look at his work the same way, again, knowing what it would lead to. Batman Hush is like one of Hitler's paintings, now.
