Yeah, "grim and gritty" doesn't work so well for kids' toys, usually. But credit to WB, they clearly didn't let Mattel (?) dictate character designs and story elements. Not sure I can say the same for Marvel. . .

I bet you would have a different reaction if those were all variations of Terminator

There's actually a story reason why Tony has all those armors, so Iron Man is a pretty genius character from a marketing standpoint. Tony keeps upgrading his armor to deflect from the fact that his own person keeps regressing. Or at least that's why I gathered from the movies. I don't know about Age of Ultron because I didn't pay attention while watching. The only things I remembered from that film was the hammer scene and Iron Man punching Hulk. Apparently it ties into Civil War, so I should probably watch it. I read that Ant Man does as well, so I guess I should get on that too.
I just don't want to get burned out superhero movies before Civil War comes out so I'm now planning to stick with BvS and Civil War for the year. There's also Daredevil Season 2, and there's no way I'm missing that since Punisher is my favorite comic book protagonist outside of Batman.
That's great and all, but it still amazes that HT has done almost ALL of the armors, even some that were on screen for .2 of a second.
Do they all sell THAT well? How many Black Widow Barbies do collectors need?
Where is that 1/6 Endo that they promised?
Oh well.
My biggest issue with Watchmen was the alley fight when Night Owl & Silk Spectre are throwing people around like ragdoll when they are supposed to be the "normal" heroes. But as you say its a Snyderism and in the big picture they still didn't compare with power level of Manhattan, just as Batman will still be clearly weaker than that other guy.

I thought Scoot Mcnairy was playing a different role? Is the magazine wrong?
SHHHHHHHHHH! He'll hear you. It's like saying Beetlejuice three times. Don't do it.
