Video games don't look lifelike. They look like lifelike video games. There is always, always going to be that uncrossable uncanny valley.
You guys probably watch Pixar movies and ***** about how unrealistic it looks. Get over it, it's a movie suspend your belief for a couple of hours and enjoy something.
Pixar movies look unrealistic because they're designed to be computer generated cartoons, albeit with great characters and story lines that can be enjoyed by all.
My enjoyment of a movie is always dampened when I think that what I'm watching is so fake looking that it belongs on an Xbox, while the director obviously wants me to think that what is happening is visually plausible.
