I wonder if Disney is going to reboot the whole MCU at some point and start from the beginning with new Iron Man and Thor origin films, or will they continue the cinematic canon and just continue to move forward recasting the roles?

Anything is possible but they've strongly implied that they're going to treat the MCU like the pre-Casino Royale Bond series. They've got their origins and will henceforth be ever young characters who will be recast every 10 years or so.

Great arguments were made on both sides of the debate, well done basement dwellers and real people.

But if I was picking a winner it ever so slightly goes to the "Did NOT need previous movies" for BvS to succeed camp!

A valient effort was made by just 3 members, Rory, JAWS, a-dev, it took a great effort to push back on them. :lol

Congrats to both sides on a well fought debate, you may proceed with your arguments. :lol

:lol

I would say that, you DO know who WW is, enough with origin stories.
Not a big WW fan.. An Origin movie might make me more excited for her cameo. Also when I ask people at work not many know much about her origin... They all say she has a nice outfit and rides an invisible plane... That s the General public.

That doesn't mean it wasn't a lot of it, poorly done? Disagree.
yeah we are going to have to agree to disagree on this one.

You didn't, seriously you didn't connect when Ma Kent went to comfort his frightened kid?

Because of the way the film is done in flashback I had a hard time connecting with any of the Kents.

Yeah they just showed how he was born and stuff :lol

This had nothing to do with getting to know him personally... It;s important to the story but as character development it is not part of the hour and a half of it you mentioned.

And these characters don't have a character here? :lol You need to see the movie again.
Nope.. Not much at all.. Comparing the new LL to the old one is no comparison at all.. IMO all the characters at the Daily Planet are flat.

This is very easy to answer, wth? :lol are you kidding?

I am saying if you knew nothing about Superman.. If you did not bring your previous knowledge... Then you would not get a good feel for this character in MOS.. IMO

No, this I'll give you, it was rushed as hell.

YES!!!! I we agree :lol

Lois Louis... What ever :lol

Clown I think we wil have to just agree to disagree in MOS.. I really find it to be lacking and a far cry from the character building original film.

I guess we disagree on this. Maybe when you watch Justice League part 1 you'll get the WOW factor seeing the group together working as a team since by that point hopefully you have seen BVS, suicide squad, and the WW film. Seeing the Lex copr signs and the Bruce Wayne satellite in MOS was cool enough for me to know that they exist in that world, and now we get to see them. That's enough for me. :D

Perhaps... As long as the BvS is good it wont matter as much.. I personally am not that excited for the JL film outside of Batman and Superman.. They really she do an origin film for all of those characters so I can care more... I know about them but I don;t have a ton of interest... It's why I like Marvel comics more.. I just prefer that Universe. But I love me some Batman and Superman.

I think you missed repeated statements by me and Jaws at least that we are excited, maybe just not as excited as we could have been if things were done differently.

But that's me out. No further comment until I see the film.

Sums up how I am feeling.. Hope the movie rocks.

Bought my tickets 5 minutes after they went on sale,

VIP seats at the 2D imax, slap bang in the middle, Saturday 26th, absolutely buzzing!

Man of Steel did it in 3 years.

:lol? What? MoS still looks better than any MCU movie.

Hell, when it came out people didn't even realize the cape was CGI, until it was posted in an article. People even thought baby Kal-El was CGI :rotfl because of how much they were trying to figure out the CGI.

My eyes must be better than most people because I noticed all those things. And I wear glasses.

I actually prefer Snyder's style of visual effects more than how it is typically done in the MCU. In the MCU everything is almost always perfectly framed, crystal clear, possibly a dutch angle or two to mix things up. But I like how Snyder's team does smoke and there's typically a bit of grain in the image, he tends to treat action as if it's really happening and the camera is struggling to keep things in frame and in focus. Abrams did that to great effect in TFA with the Falcon and Poe's squadron in action. It really helps to "sell" CGI on screen.

Agree until I get to TWS. :lol

I like how TWS has a cold aesthetic, perfect for intrigue and stealth.

You must be the only one, back then NO ONE figured it out, not one :lol

I **** you not, at least 3 people here said the baby was CGI :lol

I thought it was a rubber baby. Anyway, I thought the scene when Sups flies for the first time didn't look very good. Also when he's flying after Zod looked like a video game to me. Oh, and Jor El's robot also looked super fake.

I love the winter soldier. It's the only marvel film I really like watching. Seen it so many times.

I'm pumped for civil war.

The russo's are the only ones who make my favourite avenger, captain America, look like the badass he should be.

Yeah there were a couple things. Still not as bad as the MCU.
I thought Superman flying looked perfect every time, and related to to the point, better than every single scene of Thor or Vision flying. Much better.

Very true Platty, I will always choose the fights from TWS over any of the other MCU movies, even prefer it over MOS.

But I also enjoyed the color palette from the AOU cathedral battle with everyone mixing it up leading to an awesome triple laser attack on Ultron followed up with a funny line from Ultron.
