Yeah, good luck getting anyone here to believe that. :lol

Yeah.... reading my early posts in this thread I have a hard time believing it myself :lol

Seriously though, I don't want to see any CBM movie fail no matter how ridiculous my comments are. I am even pulling for Suicide Squad.

This was the last picture of them before the Titanic hit the iceberg :lol

Affleck knew what was going to happen. Just look at his expression! :lol:lol:lol

Just for clarification... what would make this movie a "failure"? A crappy RT score? Less than $1 billion worldwide box office? I'm genuinely curious. Because all it needs to do is make about $500 million worldwide total to start being profitable, and that's not even counting for almost $200 million in guaranteed money from promotional partners and even more from merchandising. So what is it? Do people really put that much stock in RT scores and critical consensus opinion? I suppose so.

I still fully believe a majority of fans and moviegoers will like it. And it will make money. So I don't understand the early grave digging.

I think the majority of folks feel the same way....some may have a bias which is dumb. Regardless the company, the film is good and brings in the audience / cash it's a win for those of us who enjoy the genre. More films are made....more risk taken blah, blah, blah

with the budget this movie burned through, I really don't think there's any hope that they will think it's a resounding success. it'll make money, but like the last Spiderman movie before the latest reboot, the level of success is so high that they pretty much killed it before it even got out of the gate.

I'll be seeing this with the boy and I hope it's entertaining, but I doubt it'll be a overly praised movie....

Yeah. And I guess I'm still one of the few that LIKES that the DC and Marvel films have completely different tones. I see it as a good thing (for both) and as we've discussed before, they're almost like pallet cleansers for each other which I think could help stave off this "Superhero Fatigue" everyone keeps predicting.

For me it's more ironic that I still prefer DD film to the TV show.
Poor Affleck... :monkey2

I still enjoy the movie, perfect if you want a quick DD fix compared to the 24 hours of the Foggy and Karen slow burn show. :lol

I think fans enjoy beating up on WB/DC because they decided to push an agenda that their movies were NOT going to be your silly Ant-Man's of the world.

You know the rest, the first sign of failure and the HAHA finger pointing was going to start.

Me personaly, I just like to watch the world burn.

Personally... a combination of me not enjoying the film, bad reviews, and it failing to reach one billion worldwide.

So if you don't like it, it's final RT score is Rotten but it makes over $1 billion worldwide you won't consider it a "failure". Noted. ;)

Well, I guess it has more to do with not living up to expectations, especially when compared to other "great" DC films. A film can be considered a box office success, but also a critical failure and usually does films are forgotten.

I like the different tone as well.....movies have a tone, tv another etc. it keeps things "fresh" as it can be with the subject matter. i don't feel any fatigue ready for the films this year. Enjoyed DP and DD S2 awaiting this film, CW, SS, Strange etc.....

It seems like I'm reading totally contradictory statements in a bunch of these reviews. Some people say it's "silly," others say it's "devoid of humor." Honestly, I don't know what the **** to think.
