Well, they succeeded in lowering my expectations to the ground, even if I'm suspicious... I trust IrishJedi but this **** is disheartening, there's still a bit of hype in me though.

I'm with Irish. I fail to see why everyone wants DC to be just like Marvel. It'd be ****ing boring if it was the exact same approach but to DC characters. Love it or hate it, I admire the fact that DC is doing their own thing and sticking with it.

This guy is mad as **** at all the negative reviews. :lol

I'm still seeing it on Friday regardless and will make my own mind up afterwards. :)

I just don't understand how some can get so angry over bad reviews, even implying in some cases that there must be some sort of conspiracy at work. I guess these are the same people who imply that reviews are bought and paid for when a movie they don't like gets a favorable reaction.

The vast majority of us on here are fairly well into our adult years, yet many get so riled up over such trivial matters. I swear, I've seen more reasoned reactions from children.

Your going to see this movie no matter what, so who cares that everybody doesn't want to sleep in your bed made up with Batman sheets, wearing your Superman underoos.

Even I'll end up seeing this out of curiosity, albeit on home video.

So if you don't like it, it's final RT score is Rotten but it makes over $1 billion worldwide you won't consider it a "failure". Noted. ;)

Yup. Three stages of failure/success. Personal (do I like it?), critical (do critics like it?), financial (did it make money?).

If I enjoy it, critics like it, and it makes money... it is a overall success. For example, The Force Awakens or Deadpool.

If I enjoy it, critics like it, and it doesn't make money... it is a critical success. For example, Blade Runner.

If I enjoy it, critics hate it, and it doesn't make money... it is a personal success. For example, The Lone Ranger.

If I enjoy it, critics hate it, and it makes money... it is a casual success. For example, Transformers.

If I don't enjoy it, critics like it, and it makes money... it is a success. For example, The Godfather.

If I don't enjoy it, critics don't like it, and it makes money... it is a financial success. For example, The Last Airbender.

If I don't enjoy it, critics don't like it, and it doesn't make money... it is a complete failure. For example, Fantastic 4.
