I know this is going to sound weird but this didn't even feel like a Snyder movie... Snyder movies might be annoying for people but never boring, not even Sucker punch is boring. I was annoyed at Sucker punch but i never felt dread and dull feelings. I dont know what to think, If I saw this without knowing who made it i would never guess it was Snyder. ever. none of his other projects feel like this.

makes me wonder about all the freedom they say he got. it anything it feels like producers putting their hands in the pie.

It's like ASM2.

I have to say.... I don't see why people say pacing is a problem, but like I've said, I was familiar with the plot long before the movie was released, so that maybe helped.

Is it too fast? Too jumpy? I thought the editing was fine, the pacing was a bit slow at first and a bit fast at the end, nothing dizzying. I do think they should've shown Batman seeing the metahuman files instead of showing WW, but that's about it.

it feels like a bunch of scenes that are barely together. some scenes feel like they came from another movie. it felt like watching two movies at the same time by changing the channel between two movies.

thats why I hate the Africa crap so much. it ate so much of the movie. those scenes with Louis were the worst. that and Lex retarded plans. for me it was not slow or fast, it's just that a lot of uninteresting things are going on and a lot of scenes dont work well together.

I don't see that, at all. Every BvS story is either filled with "Dumb critics, BVS is the best movie ever" comments, and people just saying that yes, it was bad, but not that bad and that they're excited for the future. Are there bad apples that cheer about the score? Sure. But the Nolan-Boys did the same thing during IM2's release and the MoS fans with IM3. Fanboys exist, I don't see how that points to a conspiracy. Unless we're going from "bought the critics" to "bought the audience" as well...

Don't forget that [sadly] a huge percentage of the masses went into BvS with those negative reviews in their heads. People love to bandwagon. People love to hate and when the hate is considered socially intelligent it goes even further.

There are at least a dozen reviews here by people who went into BvS looking to bash it. Heck, all weekend I've had people text me with "Should I even watch this trainwreck?"

Amazing Spiderman 2 was close to be this boring but at least you have that Electro fight early on. which kind of saves it. the Rhino scene at the beginning is a lot of fun. so you have Rhino at the beginning making it fun, Then Electro first attacks and it's kinda cool.

Then the big battle at the end.

This movie is like if you take out the Rhino stuff at the beginning and then take out Electro's first fight and just leave the movie with all the boring mopey crap and then have the Electro Goblin fight at the end and the cameos. that's what this felt like.

(Batman going after the Kryptonite in his car was kind of cool but not enough) They left all the action for the very end.

This reminds me a lot of Matrix Revolutions

same idea, Same basis. have like ONE hour of NEO in a freaking subway talking to a little girl while the humans in Zion plan the Machine war

Then you have some action at the very end. this IS like the matrix 3

Batman V Superman Opens With $424 Million Globally, Biggest Ever For a Comic Book Movie | Comicbook.com

"The results are a devastating rebuke to the power of mainstream American critics at a time when many newspapers have already outsourced their reviews to wire services and the rise of bloggers has de-professionalized the practice of assessing a film’s attributes and demerits."

It is what I'm seeing. I can't blame them, they influenced me too, I myself went in wanting to bash it, walked out really confused :lol by the third screening I was convinced critics are wack.

Snyder right now

O bad reviews *sob sob*

Well, that's quite ironic considering all the MCU bashing in here "just cause"...

Some folks don't have time to waste. At 2.5 hours plus driving/walking there, plus eating, plus etc, etc, etc, you're going to lose a whole afternoon. Certain people, be they students or working class men and women, have limited spare time. If it's as bad as they say, why watch it now, considering the BR will be here in 3 months?

Since review websites mean so much to you...

73% like it on Rotten Tomatoes.
7.5 rating on IMDb, same as AoU.

Glad you bring up AOU.

75% from critics and 84% from the GA.

Now BvS.

29% from critics and 73% from the GA.

The hate boner critics have for this movie is just blatantly obvious.

A movie will stand on it's own merits. There is nobody to blame for the poor editing, weird story-telling jumping, pacing, dream sequences and all the other things that were crammed in the film making it a poorer version of what it could have been.

I think most of us would have been fine with a Batman: Dawn of Justice film instead of what we got. You introduce Batman, tie your MOS fallout plot in it, there is more of a BvS confrontation than a "fight" and then Wonder Woman shows up at the climax fighting something other than Doomsday gladiator style like King Leonidas.

They wanted to market the BvS fight + set up a movieverse and it detracted from telling a better story. It's that simple. Disney wasn't in the cutting floor or in the WB higher up offices throwing down commands at Snyder. There is no conspiracy here. I rate this film a 6.5/10 mostly because Wonder Woman has potential and Batman was good (great if he wasn't a killer).

Now folks are excited that BvS is basically Transformers. Makes money, but are bad movies. Hilarious.

And there it is. Why spend $18 to see it in IMAX when you can rent it at home in 1080p for $5.99 (or pirate it for $0)?

That's a question bad reviews from Disney-owned critics made you ask.
