The Batman killing in this movie is blown way out of proportion.
Batman waged war on criminals. Soldiers have to kill in a battle if their life is threatened.

Same thing with this Batman. Its not like he goes and finds drug dealers and molesters and just flat out kills them.
Then that would really change the game cause he's a flat out killer like the masked phantasm.
The ones he kills are the ones threatening to kill him.
And if they're unarmed he beats the crap out of them.

I dont see any difference with what Captain America does in the movies...Captain America kills people also.

Yes, Bale burned down Ras house and a bunch of people died, but he wasn't Batman yet, and it was accident. He refused to kill a guy...and in doing so, everybody died...including the guy he refused to kill, probably...but, that' wasn't his intention, whereas Battfleck just kills people and drags a car with two injured guys inside and eventually kills them.

As far as Harvey Dent, he tried talking sense into Harvey, he didn't just kill the guy. He was saving a little boy...and he pushed Harvey out of the way, big difference from Keaton burning a guy to death or Battfleck killing for no reason.

That's debatable, at best.

Yeah, people act like Batman walks around mowing people down with an M60 in BvS, ala Rambo. :lol

He growls and bucks Dent into a hole into the ground. He coulda saved Jimmy Gordon from Dent a number of ways that didn't leave Dent with his neck broken at the bottom of the ground. I remember when Batman awkwardly falls through the wood and beams after lifting Jimmy up I was thinking "wait, why didn't he just throw a batarang at Dent's pistol (like he did to the lights in Begins) or pop up behind him and put him in a sleeper hold like at the Penthouse party.

The most unforgivable kill though is the Garbage truck driver. All he was doing was working for the Joker, driving around blocking the police convoy and here comes nutso Batman commiting vehicular manslaughter by purposely causing a head on collision with the poor guy. He probably had kids man.

Looks like the only on screen Batman who never killed anyone is West. He would t even hurt a duck. "Some days you just can't get rid of a bomb!"

Excellent read!
This is exactly what I was debating with a friend of mine about the movie.
The movie has a much more deeper theme than a typical superhero movie, and that if you dont get it, then it falls flat to someone else's perspective.

I've seen many people say that Cavill's was wooden and appeared mopy.
That is a shortsighted way of looking at things.
Much like what MOS emphasized, Superman is a symbol of Hope.
But in a world that is dreary, He himself is struggling, and is wondering that what his good father tried to instill in him is just a myth.

One of the things I was surprised about this movie is Lois' role. I was assuming that her role wouldnt be big in this movie and she's just a filler to
inject in Superman's world, like having Alfred in Batman's.
But she actually turned out to be one of the main characters in the movie, and when Superman was losing hope...he found it in Lois.

I've seen some people post that they dont like the movie, cause they like Batman but when the two were about to fight, they didnt root for Batman.
That is actually a good proof that Snyder didnt hate Superman, and that when two are now starting their epic fight, you start to see that Batman is actually the villain here.
When Snyder and crew were brainstorming for the MOS sequel, someone brought up...why dont we have Batman as the villain?
Now, if this movie would have been shallow, it would have made Batman just straight up, as a Villain, that he's now literally...a bad guy and its now Batman v Superman...good guy vs bad guy.
Snyder didnt do that, what he made batman instead is a fallen hero. And his final transition, his fall from grace is when he finally Kills Superman...but when that time came, He eventually redeemed himself, found hope in the man who symbolizes that.

There was soo much more to this movie than a typical beat em up movie, superhero movie.
And even when the two were about to fight...something I was looking forward to and was expecting something like Thor and Hulk Fighting, but on a more grander scale, Snyder was actually able instill an unnerving feeling of seeing two heroes fight.
It was like seeing my parents fight. Instead of enjoying the fight...now I found myself saying...goddamit...Stop!!!

I can see why some people may not like the movie. Snyder's film isnt for everyone.
But I just think that some of the things that people are complaining, are just a shortsightedness way of looking at the big picture.

Well, he wasn't a 100% physically when he got there, he had just fought a bunch of swat guys, large dogs, and got beat up by the Joker (somehow) so he just got there, and thought, I'm going to try to save Dent, so talking to him was the most human thing he could have done. He could have thrown a batrang...true, but Dent is not a light, he's a guy holding a gun to a little kid's head, so...that might be too risky, and if it fails, the kid dies and that's even worse. As far as jumping him from behind, well...again, Dent could still pull the trigger...maybe, so that might not work. Maybe that could've worked...maybe not.

The most unforgivable kill though is the Garbage truck driver. All he was doing was working for the Joker, driving around blocking the police bars are and Batman commits vehicular manslaughter by purposely causing a head on collision with the poor guy. He probably had kids man.

We don't know that he died, but let's say he did. First, he's probably a mental patient, which are the kind of people the Joker seeks and takes advantage of, like some of the other guys working for Joker in the film, so he probably didn't have a family or kids...so as far as we know, he might be having fun endangering people. So, Baleman crashes into him, but did he know that the top of the truck would hit the concrete sealing of the tunnel, therefore "killing" the driver? I don't know. Maybe he was just trying to stop the truck, which was very large, so I can't say he purposely killed that truck driver.

Oh crap you're right, make BvS # 2!

I was just thinking post GL but that isn't part of this you're right.

But TDK/TDKR also hit 1 B.

But for DCU not bad 2 films in and already hitting 1 B.
