Okay, okay, BvS ain't that bad... It's more like Rise of the Silver Surfer. :monkey3 Kidding aside, it's nowhere near as bad, but the whole "this movie is too big for little minds" bandwagon really reminds me of Trank's comments. Some liked it, some loved it, some hated it, and that's it. I liked it well enough for example, but it's not one of my favourite movies ever. Batffleck makes it crack my Top 10 CBMs, but as soon as CW, Apocalypse, Strange and SKWAD come out, I'm sure it'll be dethroned by at least one of them.
I don't remember anyone defending F4F (not nearly to this extend) or making theses about it.

Idk, from what I've seen, a lot of BvS really did go over the heads of some, I don't even bother to entertain the "confusion" anymore, the laziness is staggering, and I'm surprised that so little is needed to exceed the capacity or will for critical thought or analysis, or just curiosity and imagination of some.

F4 is an hour shorter and more coherent.

BvS: the first CBM/Popcorn flick
pleb filter.

:monkey3

Some fandork has offered to physically fight Zack at SDCC. :lol

I actually hope this happens. In fact, WB would never go for it (law suits and such) but I'd propose an all out brawl between Team Cruel Films and the Fanboy BvS Haters. Gangs of New York style. To make it even more fun, let's make it high stakes: Nerdators win, and Zack and company never make another comic book movie after JL. We win, that group has to stop acting like little girls online.

Like I said... Very high stakes.
Lord Snyder alone would rekt those fucbois, he's ****ing jacked bro.

If Cavill and Ben tag with him, no pack of nerds stands a chance.

DO IT!

Can you tell I'm a little salty tonight?

This is what happens when I drink hard liquor instead of beer and then go read nonsense on the Internet. :lol

Zack looks pretty buff and I'm sure works out- he would shred that powder puff McDonald's eatin fanboy challenger before breaking a sweat:yess:

I want a Affleck/Cavill/Gagot team against RDJ/Evans/Hemsworth duke it out to see what universe is better. DCU wins hands down....

and yes I put a woman in there- guess who she could take out 1-2-3??

Yeah, he can take care of himself.

Not to mention... What do you think Ben would do to some nerd in such a brawl? I'm sure he hasn't enough pent up angst to break a few of them in half. :lol

Just his STARE alone would make them break and run.....

Moar Conspiracies :lecture

Disney owns the Internet and all social media outlets....their altering box office nbrs, people's viewing habits and have begun replicating forum members.. Soon they will have ultimate control over the galaxy destroying WB then consuming DC properties......hail hydra!

Great visuals and special affects are great, but if the story does t work the movie won't work. Look at the Star Wars prequels.
I think they will be light on the drama and heavy on the action kind of like the avengers assemble the team together quickly to deal with a crisis so they don't have spend time on exposition. Probably a lot like the animated movie justice League war.

For the the record, I never bought into the Disney conspiracy theory stuff or even really considered it. I don't buy it. But I have observed a bunch of people being petty little pricks when it comes to this movie. From fans to movie bloggers, there absolutely was a set of people being cynical about this movie from Day 1 and rooting for it to fail. And with the RT ratings and the 2nd weekend drop it's pretty easy to identify who they are with all of their "Neener! Neener!" articles, videos and posts. It's not obvious or anything. :lol

Both sides are annoying and need a time out.....:impatient:

Matt Goldberg from Collider wrote his BvS review the day BvS was announced.

"BATMAN v SUPERMAN is a dark and depressing Comic Book Movie that fails to deliver the light hearted fun of the Marvel Studios formula..."

Its infuriating how opinions like that actually contribute to a film's overall critical consensus.

And then there's this one:

"BATMAN v SUPERMAN is a dark and depressing Comic Book Movie that fails to showcase the further adventures of the copyrighted Marvel characters we've come to know and love. Also if you're expecting more Han Solo prepare to be even MORE disappointed with BvS."

The pedantry I've come to notice of this movie's critics and detractors is ridiculous. I had a friend of mine who had been dead set against it since the moment it was announced, yet he still decided to see it opening night with me. The movie finished, and, I **** you not, first words out of his mouth: "That Batman and Superman fight was so stupid. It was raining in Gotham and not Metropolis, and yet, they're supposed to be cities across the bay from one and other?" True story.

To be fair, I've never gone into too much discussion on the movie itself on here. I'm more keen to talk about the behind-the-scenes stuff and keep it to simple facts as much as possible. Opinions and debates are fine, but after a while I find that boring and tedious. Besides; I'm admittedly biased and recused myself from it.

But I'm not cool with the nega-nerds continuing to try and control the narrative about this production, especially when it comes to behind-the-scenes stuff I know for a personal fact they don't know a damned thing about.

I'm not referring to anyone here specifically; but most of the people posting about this and JL on the Internet, in general. They really don't have much of a clue. The movie bloggers are just as bad; and I'm starting to wonder if it might be because Zack stopped pandering to them and giving them access.

What happened if the MCU started dark and depressing, would've BvS then been more successfull? :lol

The Marvel comics I was attracted to growing up had mostly dark subject matter, at least what I thought was dark for back then.

Matt Goldberg. Another condescending, elitist dork I know from my days at CHUD.

:lol

Seriously, I could write a book about a few of these pricks. Basically an expose on movie blog "culture". And I would if anyone really gave a crap. :lol
