Kidding aside, thanks for the kind words, I really appreciate it! :hi5: :duff

:lol :lol :lol

:hi5:

And that's The Marvel Way!

Pretty sure that is how CW ends.

Or the DC way with Tony pissing on Capt broken body.

:lol

No matter what happens WB/DC loses.

WB/DC needs a movie to prove to fans that they're on the right track.

I liked BvS and i'm not even convinced.

Now if you want to blame superman for zod just watch superman 2. That superman throws the missle that frees them from the phantom zone, then forsake s the human race so he can bone lois lane, allowing the 3 kryptonians he freed to take over earth

Atleast the man of steel Supes kept the damage contained to Smallville and metropolis. Reeve Supes let them destroy the white house planet Houston and countless other cities in between

good point....yet so many don't care for the new version of him....:dunno

Superman did save millions over on the West Cost... It was Luther that shot the Missiles.... Yes Superman threw on into space that freed Zod.. But it can all be attributed to Luther.

Having said that. I don't have the issues that other people are talking about when blaming Superman in the new films. It's kind of funny but I agree that the govt did find the ship and may have figured out a way to activate it. So without superman we would have been wiped out.

May have helped the Human race and the audience to side with Superman if the script allowed him to be viewed a bit more as a hero before the Zod fight.

Out of that entire list the one that makes least sense to me is just how much IRON MAN 3 made. That's nuts considering it's usually not considered anywhere near the best of the MCU films. I'm guessing it was just perfect timing, and that it was the first big MCU release after The Avengers. But it kinda sticks out as an oddity.

Had to be the timing... Film is so goofy. Still like it better then AOU though.

That ''discussion" was more anticlimactic than the B vs S fight.

:lol:exactly:

Think about this: if you don't count China (since Deadpool didn't get released there) Deadpool has a bigger worldwide box office than BvS. One of the most obscure characters (second even to Ant-Man) beat out DC's Big Three.

According to the box office tracking site Box Office Mojo, Batman v Superman has only grossed $304 million domestically as of Friday (April 15).

Furthermore, a look at the dailies reveals that after opening on March 25 to an impressive $81 million that included some early Thursday ticketing, the film crashed to $50 million in Saturday showings and $33 million in Sunday gate, totaling $164 million for its opening weekend.

Since that second weekend, the film has only managed to gross $43.6 million over the course of two Monday through Thursday runs, one full weekend, and a second Friday gross.

Speaking of that Friday (yesterday), it totaled just $2.36 million and placed the Zack Snyder-directed film on pace to finish No. 4 for the weekend behind The Jungle Book, Barbershop: The Next Cut, and The Boss.

Translation: the film is fading quickly. But that isn’t the worst part for the DC Extended Movie Universe that Batman v Superman was supposed to facilitate.

No, that comes with the new realization that Deadpool, an R-rated movie about a minor character from rival comic book studio Marvel, will likely end up winning the U.S. box office race with $359 million (and still counting).

So . . . biggest March opening, also biggest Friday to Saturday ticket drop, biggest Friday to Sunday ticket drop, and biggest Friday to Monday ticket drop. Minus China (to compare them evenly) Deadpool has made more money worldwide than BvS.

A character very few people had even heard of, and even fewer who were actually familiar with the character, has outgrossed three of the biggest names in comic books, and its opening (biggest February in history) was only $30M less than BvS.

A foul-mouthed, ultra-violent, R-rated movie based on one of the most obscure characters to get an eponymous film.

Who saw that coming? :rolleyes2

Well, BvS made the most money of all time on weekends in which the Twin Sisters of the Orion were visible and days in which I had a sinus infection. So there.

Wow, this game is fun.

Seriously, though, good for Deadpool. :clap

:cuckoo: deadpool was a sh** movie anyway. Even if BVS was mediocre at best, it was still better than deadpool. Trust me, I already know I'm very much alone on this opinion. Give deadpool 5 years and every one will realize how overrated it is.

I like both. But they are very different. The only thing they really have in common is that they're comic book movies, and there is a ton of variety in the genre now. And thank goodness for that.

Hugely coincidental too that the Phantom Zone prison thing happened to be passing through that area of space right at that moment. How could Superman have known.

yeah I dig the variety and prefer it this way (they can't all be good). But as an overall movie deadpool was a joke, and not a very funny one. Just an ugly movie with bad acting and flat jokes. Of course this is just my opinion. The people I'm surrounded with mostly agree and either just saw the trailers and ignored it completely or were dragged to see it and forgot all about it by now. Maybe it has something to do with my age being 23, most people I know my age just ignored it.

He still responsible though :lol Hopeman had no idea that by activating the frozen kryptonian ship, Zod and other "evil" Kryptonians would find him and destroy Metropolis, but Clark is still partially responsible.

I wouldn't count on people coming around to your line of thinking. Lots of people swear that Winter Soldier is the greatest Marvel movie ever and I'd put it at #3 so it's slightly overrated IMO. It's only been 2 years later, not 5 but I don't see anyone lowering their opinion of that film.

come'on supes clearly defeated the monster at the end and saved all those people in the montages. People are looking so far into it "How could superman be seen as a hero at the end, its undeserved!" :dunno

But he wouldn't be regarded as responsible by the people of Earth. They didn't know how Zod came to be on Earth. In Superman I Lex Luthor's machinations were not Superman's fault and it sure was handy that he was there to stop them. In Superman II Zod by amazing coincidence happened to be freed by Superman who then gave up his powers not knowing what he had unwittingly unleashed. Zod didn't even know how he'd been freed nor did he even know Kal El was on Earth - it was news to him when the president mentioned a ''Superman''. So once again, as far as the people of Earth knew, this was a threat that happened to come along regardless of Superman and which only Superman could stop.
