Just saw this over the weekend. One of my buddies who's a huge Superman fan, didn't care for it. The very mature tone of it was what surprised me, I mean, I'm not a prude by any means, but in a superhero flick for Lois Lane to be naked in the tub, and Clark to jump in with her and start making out. . . I mean, in the grand scheme of things, this is a family movie, or at least it should be. My buddy's got 4 young kids, and he can't take them to see that. That's $60 in tickets that aren't being sold, multiply that by all the other parents telling each other not to bring their kids. . . and with Superman getting stabbed in the chest, no wonder it's getting poor word of mouth.

I don't mind mature, adult films, but looking at it from the perspective of the "average" movie-goer, I can totally understand why it's not doing well. I went in with super low expectations, and I didn't think it sucked.

On top of that the film is literally dark. I thought the same thing about Man of Steel, the muted colors, it's just not visually interesting. . . I just don't care for Snyder's style.

I am optimistic for Affleck's Batman, and hopefully some other directors can get a crack at the DC film universe. I don't think Snyder is doing it any favors.

Adams is super hot, IMO. No moreso than in American Hustle. But I know that every attractive actress is a nasty, ancient crack whore on these boards.
