So, since I´ve seen this last week and I wanted to sink this in a bit, I thought giving my 2 cents:
Very cool movie, I genuinely say that...BUT...
Superman:
Henry Cavil lost something of his play, I don´t know why. I still love him as Superman, he definitely has the looks and in MoS he had the feel, in BvS something was missing. I don´t know what happened. Will have to check the home release.
Batman:
Ben Affleck as Batman is knocking it outta the park. Intense, really is. Essentially we got the Arkham Batman here, but with a Miller Bats spiced, I concur partially with other guys who said that here. Love the brutality and his fighting style. Looking forward to the solo movie AND Suicide Squad. He´s the best part in the movie for me.
Wonder Woman:
Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman is good. Not great, but good. She deffo has the looks but she´s missing 2 (3?!) major assets: T&A. She is just too skinny, I have to give right to my GF on that. She called her "Skinny b****" and she IS "right" with it. She´s called Wonder "Woman" for a reason. Her build really is more skinny and girly then adulty female, I have to say that. But otherwise...in the fight, looks and charisma...she is good. Great chemistry with Affleck too, but will have to see her solo movie though.
Doomsday:
Doomsday was a bit to fancy looking, but underpowered. He barely stood his ground against the 3, when he oblitered the JL in his first appearance bare handed.
His "EMP-evolutionary-blast-eyelaser"-thing was way over the top. Normally he would´ve died, adapted, regenerated and overcome the injury and get back, but here? In the fight? Too fast, too much FX. Good looking, but too much. And I really hope Snyder honors his immortality, so in JL the spear gets pulled and he just regenerates. That´s the only thing where this would make sense.
Story:
The storylines teased are intense too. I get why people call this a c************ and/or are confused, especially the casuals. Darkseid, Red Son, Death & Return of Superman, Justice League (Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg all looked great), there´s a lot in that, but Warner puts several loads in the oven to gain on Marvel and it worked...for me. But that´s all so far. I liked it, the movie was definitely not boring and I am stoked to see there this leads too.
Music
The music in MOS was wonderful and I still hold it dear to my heart and the whole movie had beautiful sequences.
BvS has a much weaker score. Don´t get me wrong, of course it´s great they honor the continuity with the same elements from MoS and those still shine, but I, for example, don´t get the grip on the Wonder Woman Theme and many things just sound generic in the score. The only piece I love is the piano part in "the red capes are coming", otherwise I don´t remember much, if any at all from the score.
Overall
So Man Of Steel had a clear 10 with me.
It had several beautifl shots. I love the whole scene when he flies for the first time, or the escape from the ship. The music there alone kills it totally.
In BvS I don´t have any of this, although there are beautiful shots in it.
Maybe Warner charged it too much and it wants to be too much, have to see how this all plays out.
But I like the movie very much, still and I´m stoked for the "ultimate cut" home release.
I give BvS a solid 9.
