How is it daring? There is nothing in BVS that has not been seen before in other comic book films. It turned off allot of people because of its glaring issues, lex makes no sense and is rammed down our throats justin hammer style, Batman is so out of character, superman does very little, lois is an idiot in this film, shoving in sequel films and dream sequence after dream sequence, and how Batman and Superman fight is not even about the so called questions they bring up in the film, and that fight along with doomsday feels like it was put in the last minute.

This is why BVS fails on all levels, before the fight and doomsday, its too busy setting up sequel after sequel, its beyond bad. Now When we look at Civil War and BVS, CW just schools BVS on these issues on every level. Civil War was far superior because the way the villain is written drives the plot forward, because of the villain it makes the transition of introducing new hero's allot more smoother. This is what DC are trying to do against Marvel, its like they are march to the gates of mordor with just Gandulf, legolos and Gimli, no you need an army. Going into CW marvel has in iron man and captain america nearly a decade of his character development, DC has nothing, without development it does not work, and BVS just did not work because they pushed the fast forward button. WB just cannot get it through their skulls, they cannot make a gigantic justice league style film in its second outing, it just does not work. If they did just stick to the title Batman V Superman they may have got away with it, and hey it may have worked. Imagine if all they done for a sequel reference was a batman begins sequel style but keeping it just batman and superman, the film may have been allot more smoother
We can go through both Civil War and BVS in terms of the issues both films use, and it is pretty embarrassing how Civil War just dissects BVS like a fly on every issue both films use. The sad thing is? one knows what they are doing, the other is pushing the panic button, because its distracted trying to catch up, instead of just making the damn film when they don't need to. This is happening a few times, some studios should concentrate on the film they are making then look to expand your universe, by telling us in the film WE ARE MAKING 10 SEQUELS
