He presented his own scenario, it involved Superman handling Batman totally different.

His proposed scenario, where...is it?

Is this it?

I think Superman should have flown down and been all "stop the car, why do you want to kill me?" And Batman should have been all "Because you like Stah Wahs, and Teh Hobbit, and I'm sick of Hot Toys doing nothing but Marvel, wherez my obscure eighteez charikterz?"

Hmm, can't say that I like that better than what we got on film.

I want to agree but as long as the difference in tone brings something good to the table.

I am not so quick to easily dismiss or brush off the loud cries over Superman's handling.

The decision to make Superman a clone of Batman in a movie many were expecting Superman to shine like a bright star after the turmoil from MOS definately left many feeling like there was no growth to his character.

In a way I feel like Marvel does "dark" right in a sense that each character has varying ranges of emotions allowing each to be presented with just the right amount of pathos when needed.

I think they need to transition DCU Superman's character in that direction, especially with the introduction of Batman. Batman fill enough of the 'dark, gritty' aspect of the DCU, no need to drag down Superman with him but use them both to provide the differences in their heroism and how they're perceived. In my opinion, Superman needs to be 'widely' accepted by the global populace and much-loved as the 'model boy scout superhero' he is known in comics (for the most part, with the next DC comics reboot, who knows how he'll be handled). This will contrast with Batman's dark, brooding and grittier existence and provide some more contrast to the characters. They need to lighten the tone on Superman and he needs some established confidence, support and vindication of being a mopey, constantly-questioning-himself Last Son of Krypton. They have an opportunity here in which Supes' "death" can turn the public opinion in the DCU to a positive one.

Glad to see WB finally got their "Kevin Feige"..Geoff Johns should do a solid job.

Jon Berg? The person that brought Eddie Murphys awful 'Meet Dave' into this world is going to bring us DC Superheroes?

People were bummed that GL wouldn't be in JL, right? Well, I hope they love GL, cause with Johns at the helm, we're about to get 200% more Hal Jordan... in everything... As far as Geoff is concerned, Hal Jordan is love, Hal Jordan is life... Well, Hal, and his OC Lanterns...
