The glare on the side of the door makes it look like Snyder is holding a machete. Disturbing image to say the least.

But is this not the goal of any artist? To make his work a bundle of layers, that upon further inspection provide a new Point of View. A door to a wide array of themes and concepts that challenge the mind. Disturbing? I'd rather call it... enlightening...

Yeah to call it a failure "financially wise" is off.

I do think the sting of the critical reviews, the overall disappointment from the fans, and the huge drop off is what got under WB skin.

Personally I don't care how much it made. I am let down it was not a better film. IMO someone should have been let go after MOS... Snyder, Goyer. or whoever... The shakeup IMO should have happened then... They basically ended up giving us much the same film tone wise. It was better IMO but someone should have been helping to direct the ship back on course a bit better... Instead of a nice straight line to our DC fan hearts they took a scenic route of things we never asked for or wanted to see. Personally I think Snyder is lucky to still be directing JL... Not because of the box office of BvS but because of the final product that ended up on screen... had that product been better everything else would have fallen into place. Perhaps it was not Snyder's fault.. However I look at Sucker Punch, Watchmen, the owl movie, MoS, and even 300 (has not aged well) and I tend to think the blame lies there but perhaps it was the script or something..

I don't know... I have nothing agains the man. I liked his DotD remake and 300 the first time I saw it... I just don;t feel that his sense of style and stroy telling fits this comic book Universe very well. Or perhaps it does and it's all Goyers fault (which is very likely)

We will find out next year.

You bring a good point there

The shake up needed to be done after MOS. Thats true

Man... This thread would have been way way waaaay more intense if nammagazine and intothevoid were here :lol :lol :lol

No it wouldn't of and stop bringing them up. One saw Nolan as a God and the other just loved to fight lol.

I got the impression that nobody liked zack snyders movies after 300 and sorta watchmen. It was like wb had no one else. They only choose him cause he made some comic book movies for them.

Studios are known to hire people coz yu know... Why not?

Snyder has a good relation with the studios because weither you like or not What he does he delivers the goods.
He dont go over budget, he s a team player and his movies make money.

The waters got rocky? You're kidding, right? The ship hit a ******** iceberg Titanic style and Snyder is holding to a floating door while Affleck is telling him, "I'll never let go!"

This is the kind of ******** hyperbole that is both annoying but also ensures this thread will never be boring. :lol

I do love me some Jye-shops, though. :lol :yess:
