yeah, great line. :lol

plus his scene with flash is really cool. hopefully we get to see more of those two together.
Hey hey hey what's going on man, one minute I'm playing mahjong with me nana and this red streak hits me out of nowhere.
-Shut up, you were caught robbing a diamond exchange.
I was not!

:lol I'd totally get a figure of him if SHF makes him.

:lol :lol

perfect casting on WB's part. I also thought "Pinky" was hilarious. He's got some great lines in the EC as well. check it out. whole new scene with he and harley that's pretty good.

by internet standards that's a pretty big compliment for SS. :lol agreed that it was bashed relentlessly while being on the same tier as other CB movies.

SS and BVS weren't unfairly bashed. People hold those characters to a higher standard than those MCU heroes and villains :)lol), so when DC failed to live up to their "greatness" (looking at you Joker), the backlash was monumental to say the least.

First time ever Jay Courtney wasn't a complete charisma black hole.

Cool, will check it out, even just for that.

That's because he got to be Australian, and Australians are naturally charismatic and interesting. Even their animals are hilarious and interesting.

Why is this thread active all of sudden..this film is on HBO now

It's because I linked to a nine-month-old article! Gotta keep believin'...

Something else I've been wondering lately, why was Wayne Enterprises HQ in Metropolis? And why did Luthor say Bruce didn't get over to Metropolis very often? Was that just another branch and not the HQ?

What I found weird was the fact that Gotham was one state over from m Metropolis. Can anyone name two major cities that are side by side of each other?

Dallas-Fort Worth? Minneapolis-St Paul? New York-New Jersey?

They are on opposite sides of Gotham/Metropolis Harbor in the comics, so that wasn't a great surprise.

I agree that people hold Supes and Bats to higher standards, but it's not what sinked the movie critically, if it was judged on higher standards BvS meets those loosely, even outside the genre.

It was a combination of people not being capable of dissociating the characters they wanted to see, with what it was presented on screen, and the critics and audience, completely misjudging the movie on bizarre grounds, it was 100% a mindless gut reaction, instead of an actual critical reaction; one reads those reviews and they are bizarre, like the guy who was upset at the workout montage :lol

No matter how lowly you think of BvS, do you or anyone actually, without memeing, thinks it deserves a 20+% on RT when the likes of Ghostbusters gets a 70% or Dr Strange gets a freaking 90%? :lol

No, especially when Kingdom of the Cristal Skull has a 77%.

I also think there is a bias against Snyder. Spielberg made a huge turd, yet I remember the critics going easy on the Cristal Skull because of nostalgia. Even the reception at the Cannes film festival was filled with nostalgia. I remember Entertainment weekly making a list of upcoming films and they were praising the film without seeing it and predicting that it was going to be the biggest film of the year. TDK was # 4 in that list...how wrong they were :lol Same happened with TFA, imo.

Anyway, part of the hate has to be related to Snyder in some small way.

One thing f the things that bothered me about both MOS and BvS was
That Snyder over does the implications. The theological meaning behind Superman is pushed at us so much I wanted to scream "I get it already!" Then, every time there is something to do with Wayne's parents, a memory, an image the camera focuses on her name specifically. It was done so much that I wanted to yell. "I get it already!" Then when Superman says, "I have to save Martha," i was like you have to be kidding me.

Then Batman says, "Martha is not dying TONIGHT!" * looks at the camera like get it, because my mom was killed at night many years ago and now I get to save her in a way*

and Gaspar be like

; _ ;

Hey, that painting of Jesus behind Clark while he talks to a priest in a church and there's a flashback of Pa Kent saying to little Clark, "you're going to change the world" for the 10th time was really subtle!! :lol

The funny thing, there are so many allegories about so many things, and people think because they see the obvious, superficial, in-your-face Christian imagery they think they get it :lol

At one point I'm sure the analyzes will permeate more people and they will be "yeah, I toootally saw that the first time, it's still pretentious" :lol

Who cares about allegories? The meaning of life could be explained in BVS, but it doesn't mean it's entertaining or great filmmaking when you have a lame DD in the third act to end the story.

edit

I'm pretty sure you didn't see the revised version of my previous post :monkey3
