Fanboy woodies are standing like that too right now.

It looks like Batman's is too, judging by that shot.
It's in Affleck's contract. He must have the largest bulge...and ****s in the DCEU.
Something I've been wondering about since the first time I saw the movie, but forgot to ask:
When Bruce and his parents are walking out of the movies, the marquee announces "Excalibur", and at the final confrontation, Superman manages to kill Doomsday by impaling himself on one of its spines, while plunging the spear deeper into it, which mimics the scene where Arthur impales himself on Mordred's (his ******* son's) spear while plunging Excalibur into his chest.
I thought it was an interesting homage to one of my favourite movies, and I've never seen any parallels drawn between Arthurian myth and Batman lore.
Any thoughts?
Really? I didn't catch others, elaborate, please.

Eh, IDK Jye. I'm seeing this Supes=Jesus thing everywhere, but if you connect the dots, it has a lot more to do with myth then religion.
For Example..
Krypto-spear is Excalibur
-Batman’s Holy Grail is his search of justice
-batman be killing people, just like Arthur he lost his sight on his purpose
-his knights of the round table (the justice league) helps him get back on track.
-the begining of the movie, the Wayne's are leaving a showing of 'Excalibur"
-the 1981 movie Excalibur features a protagonist wearing heavy duty "knights" armor. and is told through many "dream sequences"
-Krypto spear is impaled in a rock then tossed in water just like Excalibur.
There's a lot more too, I just don't feel like typing today.
People might think this flick is a 50/50 split between supes and bats, but it's actually at heart a batman movie.
That's correct, there are also more parallels of Excallibur in the movie.
Like many of BVS scenes, that one has not only its own layers and meaning but also parallels to other stories.
Kudos for noticing something other than Jeezus i see Jeezus lmao
i noticed the parallels after my first watch, here's my thought from a while ago.
Huh so this stuff actually goes through some people? You're not supposed to give that much thought to flicks!
yet another thing we agree on, Jesus ain't batman and batman ain't jesus.
There's also the battle for humanity accepting Supes, only happens after Superman also finds vindication himself, but not after fighting Batman, but after being killed by his own mistake who literally came back from the dead to haunt him.I still stand by my belief that the greatest battle in Batman V Superman is the one for Batman's soul.
Not to spoil anything, buttossing the spear to the water?
Im still noticing new stuff after every rewatch
That's pretty much anything and everything that doesn't have to do with Jesus and has in-your-face Christian imagery.Another nod that goes over most heads-
lex creates doomsday with science and his blood, in Arthur, Mordred, was a mix of supernatural and mortals blood.
