I really enjoyed Smallville for the most part. I think once Lex killed Lionel, it started to come off the rails. Their relationship was heartbreaking and extremely interesting exploring that relationship dynamic. I thought they gave all the characters strong dimension and depth, and it’s what drew me to the show. That’s why I was never bothered by the “no tights, no flight” rule that they started out with. I actually didn’t like it when he was more blatantly a “hero” as the blur, especially the last couple of seasons. Not to mention that Lex was gone.

I liked Chloe better than Lois and I think it was a mistake to bring Lois in so early to the lore, as gorgeous as Erica Durance was. Chloe was the perfect Lois surrogate. I always hoped that Clark would continue to reject Chloe, until perhaps at one point, Chloe dies and Clark realizes what he missed out on. And when he finally does meet Lois, it’s like he’s getting a second chance with Chloe.

As for that guy’s video that Clown posted, he’s right on the money. A few little tweaks would have made the movie GREAT. But as it stands, I still enjoy it. I recognize the few flaws but I’m not that bothered by them. I still think most (certainly not all) of the Marvel movies are better, but that doesn’t stop me from enjoying BvS.

People dislike them cause they are just bad movies. Its cool if you like them but the way they intepret characters like say the joker and moody man is just shameless. I want JL to be good to shut people up though. i believe in DC but they just don't seem to get it right now. They need to grab the people who work on there animated stuff.

How people dislike these films absolutely baffles me.
Genuinely think they are on the top of the comic book movie tree.

Same here.

On a separate point, until BvS came along I was having trouble separating MoS from the Nolanverse, due to their release proximity and Nolan producing MoS. I actually *wanted* Cavill's Supes to be part of the Nolanverse.

But making a character different from source material doesn't automatically make it bad. I don't think Leto's Joker is bad because he's vastly different from anything I've seen before, it's because Leto gives a horrible performance along with barely any characterization. You can hate something while still recognizing it might be quality, just not for you.

The ****** bag that played Lex Luthor killed the movie. Same will happen to the sequel if the same Lex is in it.

No it doesn't . But making the character act and look a certain way sure does . It's cool to change things up on a character but adding silly little tats and grills and crap is a huge turn off and then also you have like you said the way he acted. The look only dragged down the performance further.

Also it's cool to make Super man have struggles every now and then but come on the guy is happy with what he does . He is a happy friendly guy. This super man is just moody and boring.

Then we have lex. What's so hard about getting him right? Why make him joker 2.0. He's supposed to be a very strict buissness guy. Not some wacky kid.

Yea some changes can be good like giving Heath joker a more twisted appearance for the joker but when you change it so bad it just doesn't feel like the character then well that sucks.

Hey if you like it you like it though. Just don't think any of these characters as of yet are being done a justice. Cept batman maybe. And I guess Harley .

Or if they use the joker again. Will completely ruin any future movie

Use both lex and getto joker and you will have a modern batman and robin in your hands

The sad thing is that DC has very iconic recognizable villains while marvel has crappy villains but marvel was able to make good movies while DC took 2 of their amazing villains and created vomit.
We were lucky Zod came out good...

Plus dont forget that flying vomit that was green lanterns villain

(As to the Joker)Enough of the same villains. That's why MOS sucked, it was basically a remake. Theres nothing wrong with the Bat & Supes actors or character, they just need a good story and director. Bring in A.M.A.Z.O as a villain.
