Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

Definitely no one going to complain about her looking like a stick. :lol

I had seen an article saying Gadot had put on some weight for this role, but the shots in the blue dress are not reassuring....

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

Because she has all of the acting ability and onscreen charisma of a wet cardboard box.

Her acting in Haywire wasn't terrible. And no offense to Gadot but have you seen her in the FF movies? There's really nothing that stood out in her acting ability.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

WB has got to have the worst staff in charge of film casting right now.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

Nice comparison shot! I agree; Gadot's body is "mas delgado" (thin) and Carter's body is "mas curvas" (curvaceous). No debate there! There's another thing you may not realize is that the picture of Lynda is farther away than Gadot's. How do I know this? If you actually look at the length of Gal's forearm alone (to the wrist), it's nearly as long as Lynda's forearm up to her knuckles. If you put Lynda's head next to Gal's she looks like Beetlejuice after a sprinkle of voodoo. The only thing that comes through on those horribly out of scale comparison shots though is that Lynda is still thicker with a tight uniform where Gadot makes an ultra slim dress look like a trashbag.
Yes debate there, mucho debate there, it's funny that it says "más delgado" and "muchas curvas" yet, apart from the hip and the ****s, they're equally thin.

They're both the same height, you saying Lynda's pic is farther away is baseless supposition, I see you're picking the Spanish lines that suit you, but not the one that says they're the same height.

For the record I said she was thicker than Gadot. I'll go further and say that for her time, she was thick. :horror
She was thick for her time... :slap

No, you said it was pretty "****ing stupid" that's all. Foolish me for thinking you were really neutral about it. :lol
Yeah foolish you for not reading properly, in that quote of mine I never mentioned the term comic book standards, not once.

I said that **** has more variety in female bodies than comicbooks, I noticed you ignored the part where I said "in peak form" which implies that **** also deals with standardized women form, some of it could also be considered "unrealistic", regardless, it has more variety in female bodies...

You're better off saying you no longer want to be part of this "debate" instead of gushing out skewed nonsense like that.

I have seen Gadot in the Fast and Furious movies, and indeed, she was nothing special. Gina Carano is perfect physically, but I've never seen anyone so uncomfortable in front of a camera. In that last Fast and Furious movie, she looked as if she were forced to be there at gunpoint. She also did a turn on the tv show Almost Human that was equally painful to watch. I agree she wasn't completely terrible in Haywire, but unfortunately, she seems to be getting worse, not better.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

olga kurylenko tried for wonder woman?

Wasn't sure who this was, but looked her up, I've actually seen her in quite a bit, she is supreme *** material and I actually have enjoyed her in everything I've seen her in.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

Gal Gadot even auditioned for Godzilla but was told they were going cgi with him.

I don't have anything against Gal Gadot. She's not the worst actress in the world or anything, it's just that of all the actresses in Hollywood, I find it hard to believe that she was the absolute best choice. I guess time will tell.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

I just don't get how they could have passed on Gina Carano for WW....she's like a real life version of the character. She's not a great actress but not horrible either. And to top it off being a real fighter I don't think she'll have any issues with any fight choreography.

The problem is that, it seems she is afraid of doing a bad job so instead of overacting she does the opposite and "Under acts" if that makes sense.

I get the feeling that she is so afraid of doing a bad job that she plays it straight and without any charisma. I am sure in real life she is not as rigid as she is on camera.

I guess she needs a little more exposure and she needs to be more flexible with her personality on screen. That 's something that Gal Gadot does have over her, she can play charming and flirty.

If Gina had a really good coach she could definitely have played Wonder Woman. I don't know who her acting coach is, but she needs someone who understands her better.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

Gal Gadot was no better/worse than the other main stars of the F&F films. Gina Carano on the other hand? Truly awful. Not exaggerating. Even when she didn't have any speaking lines, I felt uncomfortable watching her. Even when she had that fight with Michelle Rodriguez, which is supposed to be her strong point, I felt uncomfortable watching her.

That being said, I thought she was OK in Haywire. But I wouldn't trust her at all as Wonder Woman.

Gal Gadot hasn't given an awful performance yet, that I know of, only an average/decent for what it was performance in the F&F movies. I'd trust her far more than Carano.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

Michael Cera is a good actor and he has never done a bad performance.
justin long was great in Waiting, Jeepers Creepers, Live Free or Die Hard. Dodgeball.....

great actors yet I Wouldn't want them cast as Superman or Batman or something...... just saying. They are great actors but they could never do the hero stuff.
Gal Gadot, same thing

True, but who watches the Fast and furious movies for examples of good acting?

yet the Rock was great in it. great performance. Paul walker was good.
vin Diesel was good too. jordana brewster was good. (they should have hired her )

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

DC should have shown WW's costume/design first, let the hate train pass by and then show the Batman suit so everybody jumped on the love train like they did.

Maybe, but it wouldn't change much. First big screen WW is going to be scrutinized beyond crazy and insane standards, it's sort of a big deal. :lol
