Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Ironman suits crumble on impact in 1 movie and withstand massive blows in another. After ironman 3 I can't see how he can fight without being broke in half. Its cool though cause he can radio them all in while sipping a martini on the couch.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

No offence but you did go on a fair bit in the ASM2 thread even after you said you'd stop. I'm not complaining as I thought that film sucked too.

Its really up to each person to decide when enough is enough. There is no set point where it is universally and objectively the right time to stop complaining about something that you've been complaining about and no one can decide otherwise.

True. But when you're (not you specifically) still in the same thread years later complaining and bit**ing about the same s**t, I think then we can ALL agree enough is enough.

Let's also not forget Black Widow hijacking that Chitauri's ride that should have ripped her arm off towards the end of The Avengers.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Oh I will immediately own up to that by saying every time I went back I genuinely went back because I genuinely wanted to see if I couldn't have some of my issues debunked and I remain of the opinion I don't hate ASM2 at all, I'm just disappointed that I can't get myself to like it no matter how hard I try or how many fans I speak to. Still though, a few weeks ain't much compared to how long some people have to obsessively mock man of steel. Doesn't even compare. I'm not constantly saying 'oh yeah and how dumb that asm2 was for [X]| Or "how dumb I think that movie was for [X]" ON and ON and On.

I understand you brought it up, no problems with tht, but seriously, not even close.

I think there's a grey area from which point you can start to say it's becoming immature and/or obsessive, sorry, I do have a standard when it comes to that.

I've liked your posts on the various films being discussed. I'm just saying complaining about the complaining is, as always, pointless.

Also, a lot of the jabs at this movie, its just a few guys joking around. As I've said before it's a bit of banter between members who know each other's forum personalities and they've built up a bunch of in-jokes over time etc etc. There's no real harm to any of it and none intended.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

How about Stark should have about 20 whiplashes from how he's constantly toyed around?:lol The insane spinning velocity he goes into as well as clunking against the engine blades on the hell carrier in Avengers is also more suspension of disbelief to me than the entire planet of Krypton.:lol

I recently heard Favreau say Iron mMan was 'grounded in reality' that took all the fun away from it because if he really thinks that he's a pretty dumb dude.

One thing in man of steel, small thing, I'm annoyed with, is when Clarke goes up into the beam his whole faces is almost melted off, yet his hair stays in a perfect shape.:lol What that scout ship had kryptonian hair gel!?:lol

Stuff like that seriously annoys me, all of it. I wanna buy what I see to at least a degree of internal consistency. From what I hear I hope I can surpress that concerning the time travel in DoFP.:dunno

Believe it or not, I respect that, I understand that's fun and I have zero issues with it, EXCEPT IN A MAN OF STEEL thread. That simple. Remain of the opinion a main thread about a subject is initially meant for people enthusiastic about and fans of that subject, not haters. Very common sense to me. Has nothing to do with criticism, anyone can have good criticism, fans or dislikers alike. Having fun in a mocking way with a subject can be done anywhere. Have the decency to respect fans and not do it constantly in their face in the main thread about said subject. It's immature, it's arrogant to fellow board members of opposite opinion and it's frankly petty.

And yes, people identify with what they love so insulting what they love is insulting them, that's how culture works psychologically and it's as old as human society. I personally usually shrug all of that off, but it's kinda easy to let it get to you. Goes for everyone.

If I go into the iron man threads just to start making fun of him all the time, they'd have good reason to want me out of there. It's just so immature. It's people acting like the kids that probably bullied them for having an iron man shirt in grade school. That's how some people act here. It's ridiculous and even ironic.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

So if they government made this connection you would have the liked the movie?? Its just a long list of things haters will nitpick to cling to their points. Hey why didn't ironman call all of his suits to him before the end of the movie? Why did ironman use a car battery to charge his newly produced arc energy source?? **** man give me a movie you like and I will find something wrong with it. No movie is perfect and even Oscar caliber ones have plot holes and inconsistencies that must be overlooked. Why was Indiana Jones in RotLA if he had absolutely no impact on its outcome??????????????????

Geez man relaxe. I have said many times that I did not like the movie and why. I also said that I bought as much merchandise from the movie that I could. I also have high hopes for the sequel. You complain about haters, what about WB? Superman is probably the most recognized superhero in the world, yet they have so much faith in him that they had to include Batman in the so called sequel. Superman deserved his own full revamp, but I guess MOS did so well that it did not warrant one.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Superman seriously needs to add additional updates to his Clark Kent disguise. If there's one thing the green lantern movie did in a realistic way that makes sense, Its have Carol see right through Hal's disguise as the Green Lantern (Movie still blows).

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

You know what? I think I prefer 'LAWN OF JUSTICE'..

Just two hours of Bruce Affleck sitting on the front steps of Wayne Manor in a dressing gown, holding a shotgun, & shaking silently as passersby stop at the gate to look in.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Why exactly IS Green Lantern considered just SO bad? I've ZERO interest in the character so I can't judge it well (same with Thor for me really).

And then every day he goes to Clarke's house and at the end of the film Clarke's not there.:rotfl

That really made no sense. ****ing hell I need to stop immediately thinking of good will hunting when someone makes a ben affleck joke.

Green Lantern is an excellent character - I think that's a fairly unanimous sentiment. :)

It's just.. Reynolds.. horrible casting, & that garbage movie he plodded through. :lol

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Hm, you live in a different world than me if you think that's unanimous.:lol My main problem is honestly that it's GREEN lantern, I just don't associate the colour green with willpower at all.:lol

Seriously though, don't care about the character much, but don't think he's bad or anything. Just maybe... too far fetched to me to dig. Or something. I like the holo-power thing, I like the will/fear etc theme thing. I don't like his outfit, don't like the ring thing and don't like, as I said, the colour green for willpower.:lol

EDIT: FTR I meant the MOVIE GReen Lantern when I said that at first.

You have Hal alone on Earth fighting a cloud and the Elephant Man instead of out in space where all the cool **** is. That's the one hook GL has over most comic book movies, he's a space cop. They should have played that up, not done 10 minutes on OA and save it all for a sequel that will never come. I mean, you see all those crazy cool alien Lanterns, then you're stuck back on Earth. That's like Luke walking into the cantina in Mos Eisley, then going back to the moisture farm.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

I really hope the rumors of The Rock being Jon Stewart/ Green Lantern are true. He could definitely carry his own film after Justice League.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Please....Frank is right, it would require absolutely zero facial recognition skills.

Sure, maybe someone who meets him ONCE will not put together the connection, but people that are around him everyday would surely at least become suspicious.

Don't just the rest of the world by your ****** standards.

You think that throwing on a pair of glasses, tripping into things and wearing a suit too big would fool people....yeahhh, never get a job in the intelligence field. Maybe the cheerleading field instead.

Cheerleading field = Intelligence field I see what you did there, clever.

If you really can't fathom how much a person can change with those small measures I'm sorry for your imagination.
