I really hope the rumors of The Rock being Jon Stewart/ Green Lantern are true. He could definitely carry his own film after Justice League.

You have Hal alone on Earth fighting a cloud and the Elephant Man instead of out in space where all the cool **** is. That's the one hook GL has over most comic book movies, he's a space cop. They should have played that up, not done 10 minutes on OA and save it all for a sequel that will never come. I mean, you see all those crazy cool alien Lanterns, then you're stuck back on Earth. That's like Luke walking into the cantina in Mos Eisley, then going back to the moisture farm.

Lol this sums it up pretty good. Green lantern and Rise of Silver take the cake for best cloud fights ever seen on screen (and hopefully the last). The green lantern cloud fight was better then FF2 so I guess that's saying something.

Cloud villains ftw!

I'm still saying that the Fass would be amazing as Hal Jordan.

It's a pity that he's already known for other characters.. waters get a little muddied maybe - plus, he mightn't be interested anyway.

Stop hoping because the Rock has explicitly tweeted that he won't be playing a Green Lantern. Sorry...

Kinda think GL Should be Stewart, I know it's positive discrimination too say it having no invested interest in the character itself but come on, so little opportunity to diversify the cast without modifying the characters. I always wanted Jaimie Foxx as Stewart actually.

I'd actually love to see a hawkman/girl movie. Don't know too much about the characters but that's exactly why I'd like to see it, from a distance they seem like characters that could eb really ****ing badass in cinema.

Is there anybody here with extensive knowledge on how the JL's line up has changed over time? So many possible additions, I'm not really sure how that could change over time and who to add when...

I actually think the Dark Knight costume is the best live action costume I could have ever hoped for. I don't know what I'd change about it. It's going to be cool seeing a different look on the big screen! I know it's not popular here, but I prefer them making it realistic as possible. I was reading my posts, and I don't know what the heck I was talking about. I really liked a lot of his stories, but whenever the disguise part got brought up, I hated it. Whatever they decide- if the movie is good, I'll love it either way.

I agree, they can make an awesome Green Lantern movie. Weren’t they offered to direct Batman before Nolan, but turned it down to continue the Matrix Trilogy?

Well that sucks, it would've been a perfect way to bring the GL character back. I think they should do Stewart too... wonder if Idris Elba would do it. He's the same age as Ben Affleck so he could work...
