Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

I agree, they can make an awesome Green Lantern movie. Weren’t they offered to direct Batman before Nolan, but turned it down to continue the Matrix Trilogy?
I was thinking about which character they could take on, Green Lantern sounds perfect, after the amazing job they did with V for Vendetta and they already have a handle on sci-fi, it's an interesting proposal.

I would like Del Toro for Lobo.
Thought about that too, I was gonna say Flash, but they've never been that humorous, dunno if that's necessary though. I think they could also make an awesome Martian Manhunter film.
I would like to see Daniel Day-Lewis play a character in a DC movie. He's my third favorite actor. I don't know who he'd be though.
Said it before, DDL fore Mr. Freeze, NEVER gonna happen, I love to laugh at my blatant unrealistic desire there.:lol
do We need the Green lantern?

They already said they won't do Manhunter, Why can't they skip green lantern as well? Just have the Justice League be:

Batman,
HOPEman,
Underweight Woman,
and Flash
and Aquaman?

(Maybe add Arrow and that's it?)
Uh Cyborg is confirmed dude, I honestly still think Batman, Superman, WW, Aquaman and Cyborg are a great original team of five. Each have their own theme, their own region, their own power, their own physicality. A human, an alien, a cyborg, an amazon and an atlantian. Great first representation I think. BUT if you'd wanna add a sixth, and some humor, obviously Flash is the way to go.

In short, no, I don't see why GL needs to be included. But as I've said before I don't see the appeal in that character in general.

She's so thin I'm sure they can fit her anywhere! :lol

:rotfl Mean dude, mean.:lol

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

That reminds me, I think I found a good substitute for kryptonite the other day. Batman will surely win with this:

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

That's funny!

To me the best line up is:
1. Batman
2. Superman
3. Wonder Woman
4. Cyborg
5. Aquaman

For how long these movies are, I think 5 characters is enough to balance, and otherwise it will spread the characters thin. It makes them less competent otherwise. What I loved about Man of Steel is they made other people besides Superman have brains. I don't like the message, unless you have Superpowers, you're useless, and that's why I used to hate all Superheroes, except Batman and X-Men. I like Wonder Woman as a Greek Mythological character exclusive to her world, Green Lantern a Intergalatic Space cop away from Earth, and Aquaman in his home Atlantis territory. Except for the evil part, I feel very much like Lex Luthor in that respect! Give the civilians and army stuff to do!

A bit late to the discussion, but, regarding Superman's "disguise" as Clark Kent, isn't it plausible that in BvS the government knows all about his secret identity and that Superman actually works with them?
After all, that is the premise in TDKR.

Then why would Superman be taking out drones looking to track his movements and see where "he hangs his cape"?

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

I think he might align himself to some law enforcement, in an attempt to gain trust in people. However, it's going to come back to what his father was afraid of, and it's going to hurt him and his loved ones. Martha might die or be held hostage in the next solo Man of Steel movie. It would be great to see Superman, exposing them, and hopefully change people's views on Man of Steel, making it the intro to one of the most heroic stories in cinema.

The next movie is going to be Justice League, so they're not going the Dark Knight Returns route. Although, I think it would be funny if Superman jokingly gives Batman a lecture about how he shouldn't be so dark and open himself up to the public, while he nonchalantly guards Batman, as bullets hit his chest.

Na I thinK Abake could have a point regarding BvS. That scene is from MoS but the scene itself already implies some time between that and metropolis destruction. Sup also says 'convince washington that it has to be on my terms'.

I think BvS will be a lot about just what those terms are, and what the governments terms are, and what the people's terms are (politics: enter Lex)... and what Batman's terms are.

So I think it'll be more near the end then the star of BvS, but I would also expect that the government will eventually enter into a cooperative sphere with Supes and the JL. Especially because Cyborg is often linked to the gov as well.

Although Cyborg could also be a gov agent coming after Superman.

I also expect WW will be nothing more than an emissary of the amazons who quietly wants to investigate Superman's existence and whether the amazons should maybe reveal themselves as well.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

The proposition of superman doing things on his terms is very scary, if you look at it from the point of view of the general. Here's a guy who inadvertently contributed to the leveling of a city and the destruction of a town, can shoot heat beams out of his eyes, and just destroyed a multimillion dollar satellite right in front of me, and we are going to do things his way. Sounds like Al Pacino in the godfather, "I'm gonna make him an offer he can't refuse."

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Well that being snapped the neck of the only other known being capable of killing him. Whatcha gonna do?

Call in Batman......

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Wait... Not the Ghostbusters? I thought if something strange happened in your neighbourhood (*cue picture of destroyed city and town*) you called the ghostbusters?

That's a more compelling argument, the government has all the hints and chances to figure out who Superman is, and in some comics they do figure out who he is.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Who would people here wanna see as Aquaman and Flash?

Flash - Chris Pine or Justin Timberlake
Aquaman - Alexander Skarsgard or Charlie Hunnam

I do think Green Lantern should be included as well and it should be Jon Stewart.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Charlie Hunnam would be great for Aquaman, maybe the weird way he has to deliver lines could work in his favor this time.

As for Flash and Green Arrow, I hope they use the guys from the TV shows.

I see Aquaman right there.

I would cast him. Decent actor with enough following to bring up the hype and more interest.

They better do that.

na, they're gonna Cast Hayden christensen as Green arrow, And Robert Patterson as Aquaman. Rumor is Zach Effron will be Green lantern.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

I don't think Charlie Hunnam is that good of an actor honestly. He definitely has the look down though.
