Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Yeah, just watched the episode of Supes TAS where Lobo shows up and I need to see him in the big screen, Momoa is just the guy for the job.
I need to watch more of the DC animated stuff - a lot of what I've seen is actually really good.

I watched an episode of Young Justice recently.. not bad.

Watch the Invasion storyline that comprised all of season 2, it was ****ing amazing.

Man YJ is just the tip of the iceberg of goodness when it comes to Animated DC stuff, pretty much either Batman or Supes TAS, Batman Beyond or any of the JL you can't go wrong.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Yeah I'm completely set on Alex Skarsgard as Aquaman (even though he should've been Thor, and they all should've had a Scandinavian accents instead of the fake grade-school play Brittish, and yes oh the irony that his father plays Selvig). Also I remember Copley best as Murdoch in that A-team reboot movie, which was actually pretty entertaining, in a ridiculous way.

Might as well add some pictures to make my point:

He actually completed national service in the swedish military so his physical prowess isn't much of a problem, I'm sure with Cavill's trainer he'd become a beast. He also generally has the air I'd like to see Aquaman have. He's excellent at being condescending.:lol

BUT I will say I'm not hellbent on him, if they find another actor I like for the part I'm fine with that. And yes I do think it should be a naturally blond actor.

Wonder Woman is accurate, but I think you were a little too generous in the chest/cleavage area there devil.

Yeah ok, thanks. :duff

I haven't watched much Superman specific stuff yet - just bits & pieces.

What I am digging a lot actually these days, is 'Batman: The Brave & the Bold' - very clever, witty & old school - & I LOVE the art style.

The down side though, is that for every good episode, there's two not so good ones. :lol

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

I love Brave and the Bold, Justice League, Young Justice, and the other Timm-verse stuff. DC just hit home run after home run in the animated department. I didn't care for Teen Titans, but it isn't aimed at viewers like me, so I can't be critical of it.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

It's not as prolific as DC but Marvel has a couple good shows, most of them about Spiderman but still :lol

X-men evolution was cool too, and a couple movies.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

The best Marvel animated series I've seen is the recent Avengers one. I didn't watch much of the new Spidey ones, though. I've got a nostalgic connection to Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends and '80s Hulk, and '60s Spider-Man, as well as the old Fantastic Four series with HERBIE and the '60s moving comics of Thor, Cap, Submariner, etc., but I know they aren't actually that great. I don't care for the animation or voice acting on the '90s X-Men or Spider-Man cartoons. '90s FF and Avengers were terrible. Pryde of the X-Men was amazing to me, but that quality couldn't be sustained, so we only got the one pilot.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

I watched 2 episodes of the Avengers one and it bored me worse than Beware the Batman so I stopped watching...

Apparently both of those cartoons have picked up the pace now...

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

I don't think it matches what DC has done, but like I said, it's the best one I have seen from Marvel. Even their animated movies are really hit-or-miss. My favorite of those was the Hulk Vs. set. Whereas DC is just really, really good for the most part (though the nu-52 one recently was one of the worst they had done IMO).
