Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Mhm not really, he doesn't have anywhere near the strength Supes has, nor he can fly as fast as him.

But yes, Goyer can shove his anti-Matian/She-Hulk ignorance up his culo.

I'd beg to differ, I'd say the shapeshifting, intangibility, and telepathy make up for the lack of speed, and MM can definitely duke it out with Superman.

Well if we're talking about comicbook versions (given that MM is still non-existent in movie version), Superman also has incredible intellect, in some versions even topping Luthor's, also possesses defense against telepathy, and regarding physical strength, MM doesn't come anywhere near Supes in physical feats, albeit in the new 52 it would be a much closer match physically speaking.

I'd still give the win to Supes just because MM's weakness is much more common than Supes'

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

We can agree that they're both equally stupid weaknesses, though, right?:lol

:lol and after some research, it turns out MM is more powerful than I thought, I don't know much about him outside the JL team, but he has some feats that hint a ridiculous physical strength.

Martian Manhunter is as strong as Superman. He's said so himself in comics. And this was pre new 52.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

He's been written all kinds of ways, as is the case with most comic characters. In the JLI comics he wasn't treated as being on the level of Captain Marvel.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Well there's a rumor now that Gordon will appear in BvS. Really hope they cast Cranston as Gordon.

Although it'd be for the wrong reasons, still, casting Cranston as Gordon would generate a bit more goodwill to this DCCU I think. After all the other castings (which I personally don't have an issue with...yet) I think this project could use a fan championed casted actor.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

No, dammit, Goyer can shove his anti-Martian bigotry right up his ***. MM is pretty much Superman if you replaced his heat vision, freeze breath, and X-Ray vision with Telepathy, intangibility, invisibility, and the ability to shape shift. So, basically, he's Superman if he was more badass. Hell, they could even twist his origin to where the Government was experimenting on him to try and make him their own weapon against Superman.

Don't take anything Goyer says too strongly. He's a hack, and a one trick pony.

Sounds like a great idea, so I'll prepare myself for the announcement of Gary Coleman as Gordon. :lol

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

What Martian Manhunter gives up in sheer strength and speed to Supes, he gains in mental powers. He's like what would happen if Jor-El, Professor X, and Shadowcat melded codexes. :lol

No Martian Manhunter = No Justice League.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

So rumor has it Emily Blunt is up for a role in BvS...

I could see her being an awesome Hawkgirl if we're talking a cameo for next films. She could also definitely be a villain, although I don't know which one. And She has too much starpower to be just a small role in the franchise.

I guess she has a solid voice, could she be Oracle? That is to say, Batgirl...? I don't know what they did with her in the new 52 but whatever it was the cripple emancipation league was pissed off about it.

Perfect wonder woman right there,

I really wish that Gal Gadot was a red herring or a fake wonder woman in the movie trying to hide the real one and that Emily is the real one.....

While I would love her as Oracle, I don't see them even using that character. Barbara is back in the Batgirl costume, so I doubt they are going to want to have her in the wheelchair(which was her best run as a character) for the films. I could see her playing Artemis or Vicki Vale which I saw suggested elsewhere. I honestly cannot think of another major female character they could put in this film. She is too young to play Hippolyta(who I doubt we will see in this film). She was considered for Catwoman, but I doubt they use the character in this film.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Maybe Luthor's bodyguard Mercy Graves?

I have seen that suggested, it just seems like such a bit part for someone of her talents. She's an Oscar nominated actress, I would think it would be a waste to cast her as Mercy. Heck Mercy's biggest moment was when she got in a fist fight with Harley.

Now there's an idea. What is they made her Harley? There are already rumors flying around that Mr. J may be in this film.
