Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

The Tumbler was refreshing and what was needed after the fabulous flourescent mobiles.

I love the design and how it was utilized in BB.

The Tumbler conversion to the Batpod was also excellent.

The Tumbler version for his method of flying sucked *** though. :lol

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

Really, the most important thing to me is that the car fits the character and mood of the film. Assuming Snyder et al. want to make this a violent yet depressing, dull and drab type of mood as they attempted with Superman, then something low key but with lots of powerful weapons would probably fit.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

As long as it's sleek and not some over designed, paneled monstrosity like the Tumbler or the new video game "Arkham Knight" mobile, I'm good.

Keep it simple. The 66' and '89 Batmobile designs are my favorites, but I don't need to see them again. Something along those lines depicted in a fresh new way would be cool though. I'd LOVE to see the 1940s battering ram incorporated into the vehicle like the cover a few posts up.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

I don't know where you come up with that.

Yeah, I just pulled that one right out of my ***... :lol

This Robin figure, once released, will be among a very few HT figures that could easily pass as a comic version of the character--this being teenage **** Grayson from the New Teen Titans. Others are Reeve Superman, Raimi Spider-Man, Wolvie: Origins Wolverine in wifebeater, Iron Man, and War Machine. West Batman doesn't really work on that level.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

I totally misread your post, and thought you were saying I didn't care for West Batman. But anyway, no, he really doesn't look like comic Batman to me, though I don't know what bearing that has on my preference for a Batmobile. I am familiar with the different Batmobiles used over time.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

I wonder how stylised they can go in this MOS universe without it raising questions of ''how was Batman thought of as an urban legend, no one ever got pics and videos of this car driving around?'' Then again you'd have the same question if it were another Tumbler-type design.

Man the MOS-verse...I have serious doubts how its gonna work as the basis of Justice League.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

I wouldn't mind if it were recast as a white car. Lets not be racist about it.

It is an odd thing, in that they don't want to embrace the fantastic, sometimes surreal nature of these characters tonally, but obviously accept that these characters are fantastic and dangerous on a massive scale. Marvel Studios has also seemed to have a bit of this conflict (the no magic claim made at one point, trying to justify even Thor by means of science), but they pulled it off.

I would argue they pulled it off to some extent. I hate that Thor and the Asgardians are not really gods, and in Avengers Loki even says that they are not immortal. And that the falling glass jail, could possibly kill Thor.

LOLZ.. ...

Holy crud! I thought he was gonna look legit after that teaser of the mask was release but god...

These guys need to realize that suits are gonna look horrible if they aren't tailored right on the correct body type...

Or 2012 Captain America. . .

Yeah, I think there is inevitably a tradeoff where not everyone can be happy, but I personally think Marvel straddles the line pretty well. If DC could do nearly as good a job as Marvel has in this department, I would be thrilled.
