I love both of my xbox and ps3 but man !!

BF3 looks like complete crap on them.

I am so glad I am playing the game on launch on pc.
I dont care if i have to pay 1800 for a new pc.
I want to play this game in all its glory.

The beta on pc looks 10000000000 better then the consoles.
I mean they dont even try to run the game at a decent rez.
looks to me like 480i TERRIBLE !

The rez is so bad people in the distance look like black blocks.
No way !

They only look like crap to you because youve got something to compare it to. that's a big reason why I've actually stopped looking at PC footage. You can't miss what you never had hehe.

I spent about $450 on mine. I bought the CoolerMaster HAF 932, 2TB hard drive, 750watt Corsair PS, DVD Writer.

My Brother gave me all his old hardware - misc motherboard, AMD triple core, 5770 ATI Raedon, and 8 gigs of ddr2 memory.

I have just recently bought a EVGA 01G-P3-1563-AR GeForce GTX 560 Ti Super Clocked Video Card that is on its way to me. I plan on throwing that in my crappy mother board and 3 core processer until next month when I can afford to upgrade my motherboard and Processor to the EVGA X58 Classified3 mother board and a I7 Processor

I really want to get a Astro A-40 gaming headset too. As well as Creative Labs Sound Blaster X- FI Fatality. Plus a gaming keyboard would be nice!


So I'd say I got about another Grand to spend..

I'd wait to upgrade stuff like the motherboard and processor. They're supposed to have new Socket 2011 processors to replace the X58 platform, so when that comes out at the end of this year/early next year you can go for that or get the current stuff at a discount.

What motherboard you have?

Yeah, they're going to be releasing new 6-core Sandy Bridge processors to replace the current 900 series i7 processors. They're going to support quad channel memory with 8 slots for RAM.

Currently I've got an X58 motherboard with an i7 920, had built my system 2 years ago so maybe next year it'll be time for an upgrade. I did upgrade my graphics card though.

I'm going to DL the PS3 version and see if I have any better luck on that one. I doubt I will, but it's worth a try...at least I will after I've downloaded the millionth PS update of course.

I've been playing for the past hour or so on PS3. I've never been able to get into FPS games before (I have something of distaste for that 'eyesight/hands in front of you' view) but I'm finding this a lot of fun. Multiplayer certainly has a lot to do with that though, I don't mean that the game changed my opinion - this is the first FPS I've played online.

I don't know what I'm doing, I struggle to tell who the enemies are and was shot down every two minutes, but it sure is exciting.

I really don't care for the menus on this game, and the subway part is really dumb, every single time I get sprayed by an ak74m or whatever they're called. The environments aren't completely destructible as been advertised, and theres some major texture popping; the hit detection is wonderful though. Don't like how you can't create a class and you HAVE to use certain classes like medal of honor. The light effects are very good though.

Yeah, BF is all about teamwork. You might not be able to "create a class" but you can create your own loadouts (scopes, grips etc) on the 4 classes given.

And, yeah expect a TON more destruction on other maps. After the subway section when you go back outside the apartments can almost be completely demolished. Although I have noticed that the rooms that the cashes are in can't be demolished. So thats new.
