Well, to be honest, I don't think there's much hope for you. There's always other games though. I'd probably say the same thing to Gates70.

Listen son, I've been playing BF since it's inception about a hundred years ago and I have plenty of experience with these games. It's pretty much all I play. I have 600 hrs of BFBC2 played alone. I see what I see. On console I'm sure all the environments probably look pretty similar with it's limitations, but on PC cranked up, you see the flaws and whatnot.

If this was a demo, then I can kind of understand comparing it to other games that are out now but I mean come on, this was an extremely limited beta release. Visuals I can understand because it probably won't be that much different.

Of course and if you've been following this thread, you'll of seen that I mention a few times that I'm sure the retail will be way better.

Yeah, right now..as in today I still love BC2 over BF3.

I'll never forget playing Arica Harbor demo for the 1st time and my jaw hitting the ground in its awesomeness.

BF3 beta didn't even come close to the BC2 pre release beta-demo.

Hopefully BF3 final game will give me that feeling once again.

Sorry didn't mean to sound harsh earlier, but it's hard to compare console to highend PC IMO. Textures are just so different. Like I said before, I compared my son's 360 and my brother's PS3 to my PC and they are very different. I am really looking forward to the game release and have 2 copies on order (my PC and my son's). We will have a blast I'm sure. The retail should be miles ahead of what we played.

Fair enough. I am and have been a huge BC2 fan since the first beta on the PS3. Its one of my all time favs. Thankfully, I'm liking what I see from BF3 more, but I can understand where others might be coming from. I just don't think in cases like you or Gates that anything in the final game will change your minds unfortunately. Sometimes a game or whatever just doesn't work for you.

Yeah, I have no basis for that comparison. my PC is ____e. In your case, it may just be smething you have to play long enough that it becomes normal to you. That sucks though. I agree that the real version will be a lot better than the beta, but the visual style ad presentation will be about the same. If that didn't work for you before I doubt it will on the 25th.

Actually you'd be surprised to what a few tweaks would do for me to love the game ! Wouldn't take much. And speaking of BC2, it's a perfect example. My son has it on 360 and I have 2 copies for the PCs. He absolutely hates it on the 360 and loves it on the PC. Textures are very different and even the gameplay is totally different. Like I said, we shouldn't even be comparing console and PC.

From what I've read, they've changed the gameplay a lot compared to the Beta, but unfortunately for EA, it seems the Beta did a lot of damage.
