Great episode last night. Nothing TOO exciting, just setting up baltar's trial, which better be just amazing. I can't see how it isn't going to be amazing, can't wait for that. Question to all of you, my Tivo cut out the last like 15 seconds. When baltar was reading the letter from his lawyer did it say that the lawyer manipulated apollo into taking his place? that's what it sounded like, but I didn't hear the end.

"There's no greater alley, no force more powerful, no enemy more resolved than a son who chooses to step from his father's shadow -- Romo Lampkin."

Okay, I had to IMDB the guy to figure out the name at the end but that's the lawyer's.

^^^yeah that line got me fired up. reminds me of the mini series when the Adama's were butting heads from the start. i'm dying to see lee during the trial.

Yeah, the next two are gonna be good! And I feel a hell of a cliff hanger coming on.

Damnit, I turn away before the teasers for a reason! :lol :lol

You sir, are fired....I'm only hoping that during the fight, Six's clothes just happen to come off.....that would be a REAL shame :monkey5 :monkey5
Actually, Tigh's clothes come off... Oops! I let the cat out of the bag again. Sorry! :monkey4

Another great episode last night! I don't know what I'm going to do when the season is over. :monkey2

The mystery music was very interesting. I wonder if anyone else besides Tigh and Anders can hear it. It does seem to be driving Tigh crazy (I guess the booze isn't helping either). Imagine how Tigh would react if Ellen came back as a Cylon!

And what's the deal with Roslin's aide?

Is Baltar Jesus?

Next week should be very interesting.

I just watched the latest episode last night, I think the music might mean that Tigh is a Cylon himself! That would be one hell of a twist.
Since others are hearing the music, it must be something more then just a few crazies, such as a transmission from the Cylons activating them. Other then Tigh and Anders, I think Roslin's aide might be hearing it too.

That's my guess as well.... Maybe Tigh, Anders and Roslin's aide are all Cylons and this music is some sort of "activation". That would be quie the shocker, especially Tigh. Imagine how much that would frak with Adama's head... and the President? What kinds of issues would come from that?

As for Baltar... I don't know what to think. I hope nothing happens to him, because I love the character. But I really wish he would call Gaeta out and try to get a little leverage. I mean, really... if he hadn't surrendered, the Cylons would have killed everyone. And he never signed any death warrants of his own free will, he was held at gunpoint... and Gaeta knew how devastated Baltar was about it. So he's got a lot to work with if he would only use it....

yeah, the music made me think that Tigh is a cylon too. That would explain Lucy's "I'm so sorry". But the President's aide could be the cylon, although she's not a major enough character as they've been eluding to.

Well for the music, it made me think of the final episode of the first season of BSG TOS where Apollo and Athena just miss hearing the moon landing broadcast. So I kinda think that the ship is acting as a receiver for some radio broadcast coming from Earth. The first two seasons of BSG was full of parallels between the two series. It's been awhile since they've done that. Electing Baltar as Prez of the colonies was the last one I can think of (and while they didn't get around to do that in TOS or 80, it was the original concept for BSG 1980).

For Rosalin's aid... I gotta guess that she's on drugs. Possibly the same hallucinogenic that the Prez is on. She was probably in the bar scoring some from Anders.

Baltar does seem to be Jesus. Except something tells me, of all the people on the show to crucify, he'd be one of the few that wouldn't be resurrected.

That's a really good possibility. But why do only certain people hear it?

I don't think Tigh is a Cylon. He and Adama have know each other for over 20 years... Back during the first Cylon War. Weren't the humanoid Cylons developed after that?

Not sure. I think the final five were created a generation before the current seven so... maybe? But I gotta believe that BSG only has one of the final five cylons and that Starbuck is it. Otherwise she died in a pretty lame way. Unless she is the Cylon god. I read once that Ron Moore played with the idea that Dirk Bennedict might come back to play the Cylon god but his staff writers talked him out of it.

That's a good possibility. Another is that the Battlestar Galactica itself is a Cylon. :lol I can't wait to find out.

Okay, while not specifically related to an episode, I think alot of people will be happy to hear/read this news:

Sci Fi Extends 'Battlestar'
By James Hibberd
Sci Fi Channel has increased its fourth season order of "Battlestar Galactica" to 22 episodes.
The order will include a special two-hour "Battlestar" event to air during the fourth quarter of 2007 on Sci Fi, and will also be released on DVD.

Previously, the network announced a reduced "Battlestar" season order of 13 episodes rather than 22. Combined with a slight ratings erosion during the show's current third season, fans worried Sci Fi might cancel the Peabody Award-winning show.

The fourth season will premiere in early 2008. "Battlestar" is executive produced by Ronald D. Moore and David Eick.

So. we get a full season (as opposed to the original plan of 13 eps.) plus the DVD movie that was announced earlier. I am guessing the ratings boost from fans after the half order and leading up to the season finale increased enough to convince them not to "Farscape" BSG.

P.S. Just noticed my post count a second ago ... well, an extension of BSG is definitely newsworthy enough for my mild benchmark. Cheers!

Congrats! :duff

It's good to hear that they went with a full 22 episodes, but I wonder why they're still not starting the season until 2008. You'd think they'd start sooner now that it's a full season. Maybe it'll change.
