So what was the BEST 1/6th Figure of 2008?

I'm guessing many will say Joker -- but which one?

And don't forget Dallas...

Been pretty calm for me this year,but of the 1/6 figures there was only 1 i really burned for which is Hot Toys`Rocky 3.

Cannibal Jack Sparrow and TDK Batman Begins suit is pretty damn good too.

BR Joker, Davy, Gandalf, Rocky...all solid...

He or Gandalf would have been my choice if Davy or something similar hadn't been out there. They're both very well tailored and everything, sculpts, but I'm more wowed when something doesn't seem feasible is accomplished. Like the Endoskeleton, that year there were visually more wowing figures to me, but his engineering feet made it stand out with me, same with Davy, they made such a fun figure out of something that could easily have been just about a statue, and he just looks fantastic, particularly the wet look they achieved on him, really just a very impressive piece of work that has a bit of pioneering to it, where Gandy and Indy are just more top notch efforts using frequently used methods.

I think it's going to come down to which franchise you prefer. Gandalf is a home run, and if LotR is your bag, he's easily the best figure of the year.

For me, Joker is problematic. If it had been the BR head with the standard Joker, that would probably overtake Gandalf. But since I had to mix and match - it's less of a home run.

And Dallas is awesome too, from a "it lights-up-and-is-just-so-cool" kind of way.
