1. Joker V1 with Les/Josh head (HT, Les, Josh)
2. Indiana Jones (Sideshow)
3. (Tie)Dead Santa, Dead Street Prophet, Clone Wars Obi-Wan (Sideshow)
4. Gandalf The Grey (Sideshow)
5 Dark Knight Batman New Suit (Hot Toys)

I loved the Gandalf the Grey as well but my vote goes to the one with the most Keanu-esque "Whoa!" effect:

Truly hoping for more original "Alien" figures from Hot Toys this year. (30th anniversary, isn't it?)

I'd have to say the Dark Knight figures, but it's tough because I liked the Alien astronauts and Cannibal Jack too.

The Alien Dallas figure beats anything. Impressive piece......

Second, Cannibal Jack....

and third, Joker Bank Robber.....

HT Joker V1. The tailoring was amazing and I even like the original sculpt. BR Joker a very close second. SS Old Ben was awesome as well.

1: Capt. Dallas (HT) - Great sculpt, iconic character, awesome execution of a complicated costume. Oh, and lights! Wish they'd gotten likeness right for Kane.

2: BR Joker (HT) - perfect rendition of the character, great sculpts, great costume & weapons. If only the more iconic Joker costume had been this good.

3: Gandalf (SS) - perfect sculpt, costume and accessories. Paint job isn't fantastic and there's the Buck body. He should probably be closer to #6 but gets bonus point for being the final figure in my favorite line, and he's freakin' Gandalf!

4: Cannibal Jack (HT) - Fantastic sculpts. Triumphs over V1 except for the lack of jacket and hat.

5: Joker (HT) - Great figure. Few accessories, lackluster tie and not as good as V2 head.

6: Batman - both (HT)
7: Indiana Jones (SS)
8: Old Ben (SS)
9: Frodo & Sam (SS)
10: General Kenobi (SS) or Jor-el (HT)

Well, the figure that impressed (or better said surprised) me the most is the Sideshow Indy.

Apart from the body (which can be solved with an easy body switch) this figure looks great. Evan the clothes and jacket are sweet.

Lost all hope finding an Arnie Kim one, but this sculpt made me very very happy.

So my vote goes to Sideshow Indy and the sculpt (for knowing how hard it is to catch mister Harisson with previous attempts) is the winner of the year :)

Boy did BR Joker ever get alot of votes!

The perfect headsculpt (sculpt and paint apps) elevated that figure to that level. Even without the "iconic" outfit, that headsculpt makes the figure.

That's why to me, the most important aspect of any figure is the headsculpt.

That pretty much sums it up. While nicely accessorized, the BR Joker figure isn't anything too special if you take away the head sculpt. It's an important feature on a figure, but in a year full of figures that all around feature something more to impress, I couldn't give BR Joker props.

My top 5 this year would be 1) Davy Jones, 2) Clone-Obi-Wan, 3) TDK Suit Batman, 4) Sideshow Indy and 5) Gandalf. Each of these figures impressed me with their overall craftsmanship and in some cases the ingenuity to achieve impressive things that I wouldn't have thought doable before the makes made it happen.

Someone needs to get the figures listed and create a poll... sounds like BR Joker may get the top spot, but some others were nominated frequently as well.

I'd be curious to know what people base their choices on. Is a strong headsculpt enough to sway people to an entire figure, does it take an overall figure quality. As far as overall figure, I think Gandalf's much more impressive than BR Joker, and even regular Joker is more impressive than BR. Sure the head's better, but the tailoring on the original is far more an impressive accomplishment, where the BR is pretty standard.

I prefer Gandalf as well... he's really so lifelike.

I do wonder if some of the BR Joker is more due to the popularity of TDK now over LOTR... as we know, with Sideshow putting the line on hold Gandalf and crew aren't the most popular kids in school :lol

And his clothing is really nice, quality material, great detailing, good fit on the figure. Easily could have turned out poorly but they did very well with him.

I'm sure interest in a film series is a factor, as well as not owning some of the other mentioned pieces, the less you can speak up about the more limited your options, but comment in hear even speak like how can anything beat the BR head, well ya, the head is great and tough to beat the but the figure itself is average HT work, nothing beyond normal from them, a suited figure.

I stand by Davy because I expected him to be just a nice looking but static figure, and between his poseability they achieved and that wet look, he's just a marvel of craftsmanship.

Davey is a really great figure... if he was taller (or Jack had been shorter) he'd be up there. But the figure is just an amazing example of the work HT can put out.

He's so well made, it makes you ignore the flaws a bit because it's like, yeah he's a bit shorter than ideal, but look how awesome he is anyway.
