:lecture The Abrams one isn't a remake, they just chose not to give it a title beyond "Star Trek" :lecture :peace

Why isn't Insurrection on the list? Nobody will pick it as a favorite, but it hardly seems fair to exclude Insurrection but include "The Final Frontier". :monkey4

I'd put Insurrection above Final Frontier, TMP, Nemesis, and maybe even The Search for Spock. Just because it lacks the epic scale of the other films, doesn't make it a bad movie.

Wow. You would?... INSURRECTION is the worst... No question in my mind.

Insurrection is horrible. Its the Terminator 3 of the Trek franchise. Nemesis is kahkah too.

My fav would be the new film followed by First Contact.

I like that one where Tim Allen fights a big rock monster and then later on Monk uses the "Beam-me-Scotty" device to transport the rock monster onto the Enterprise to save Snape, Ripley, Sam Bell and that black dude that used to rap from all the lobster looking bad guys trying to kill them.

STAR TREK SUX.....STAR WARS FTW!:chew

I'm still recovering from Post-Traumatic Stress Syndrome after watching Episode 1 in the theaters. :monkey2

Star Trek does indeed suck if you appreciate good plot, good dialog, and real scifi. Star Wars is a much better choice for those who prefer "Yousa think people gonna die?"

Go ____ a carpet ya wolf groper. (I fail at coming up with an alternative to "fang banger" :thud:But, technically, werewolves have fangs too so the term would be appropriate to you as well... :lecture )

I wish I knew why threads like this have to turn into Star Trek vs Star Wars. I love both and have since I was a kid. They are both very different and can be loved for different reasons. They are both great in their own way.

Becuz....it needs to be said. :lecture

I was never really into Star Trek. I'd seen a couple episodes of Voyager, Enterprise, and Deep Space Nine here or there and thought it was entertaining, but I was never totally hooked. I saw Star Trek 2009and enjoyed that film thoroughly. It made me go back and watch the first two Star Trek movies, which I also enjoyed. I haven't seen all of them, though so I can't fairly say which one is the best.

No, you have to count ALL the Star Wars movies and ALL the Star Trek movies. Except the new one, because that's a new series.
