To clarify, like you said, it's a phobia, not the physical manifestation of an actual disease as he believes, and Jimmy supports. Otherwise that exposure would have put him on his knees regardless of whether he was paying attention or not.

Yeah, I got ya! :rock

I just really, really enjoy this show. Very refreshing for me and a nice deviation from what I normally watch.

I was worried when it was announced that it was going to be BB part 2, and I really didn't want to go through that again. But I'm with you, it's a great story in its own right, even if the bones are a little similar.

I really enjoyed BB, but yeah, this show will grow into its own quick. IF (and that's a big if) it continued at this pace, I'm not worried about it being remembered as a just Breaking Bad 'spin-off.' I think we'll remember it as 'Better Call Saul.'

I started laughing while I wrote those last few sentences, thinking of the Walt 'Say my name' moment in the desert....then realizing I'm saying this isn't just a spin-off. This won't live it the BB 'shadow!!!' :lol

I don't think Chuck is trying to set up Jimmy. He looks to have been a Type A, hard-charging, go-getting, overachieving workaholic who suffered some sort of nervous breakdown at the office for whatever reason.

I also don't think Kim will intentionally try to screw over Jimmy. She truly does care about Jimmy and was probably, whether it was consummated or not, a love interest at some point in the past.

It's just that, like many others, she doesn't really respect Jimmy professionally or believe he's truly legitimate. She's also got her own career to worry about - she won't jeopardize that no matter how much she cares for him.

Yeah I don't think Chuck and Kim are going to turn on Jimmy, so much as they'll eventually turn their backs on him. When this case blows up in his face and he begins his slide into murky law work, they're going to have to cut their ties with him so they aren't dragged down as well.

It was an odd twist at the end, Chuck being so engrossed with his work he forgot he had an illness.

As previously noted, I think that just confirms it's all in his head.

I thought it was gonna be Vince Gilligan's Futurama or American Dad, but it's turned out so much better. I was also afraid of too many gratuitous nods to BB, but luckily most have been subtle.

I've always liked Mike, but this moment/talk that's unraveling in the van....I know like him that much more. Powerful stuff.

Look out, Saul. Mike is stealing the show.

I think Chuck will 'stick it' to Jimmy. I don't completely trust Chuck at the moment. I can't quite put my finger on why....

Can't trust anyone of 'em, Jimmy!! Don't trust 'em!!!!

Chuck, you SOB.

I called it. Didn't like the guy. And now I know why.

I'm Team Slippin' Jimmy.

You don't need 'em, Jimmy. You don't need 'em.

It's messed up is what it was!!!

I guess we knew something was coming. Just sad it was Chuck.

No matter how much me and my brothers get into it, I could never do that to them. Chuck ****ing pissed all over Jimmy's spirit. I couldn't believe it.

Oh, I agree. It was sad seeing it all unfold. I hope he sticks to his guns and stops investing so much in his brother now, especially when it comes to enabling his 'handicap.'

I think this was the first big step of the Jimmy to Saul transformation.

jimmy is stupid in not taking the deal, even if his brother back stabbed him

i was very very surprised in how things turned out, i was expecting Hamlin to take the case and leave jimmy penniless and his brother just supporting the decision.

i never expected them to give Jimmy money up front and even 20%, that would have been a lot. i was sure he was going to end up with no case and nothing to show for

i know it must suck and he must be really hurt but he would be an idiot if he doesnt let go of the case, he should just ask for 50 thousand for his work or something (maybe 30%)
