Yes. I do love Halo more then any of that. None of those games do a damn thing for me.

Especially for how long they are. I don't have any need to play a game for more then an hour.

You like Alien Resurrection, and AvP-R. You have zero ****ing room to ever talk. :lol

Zero ****ing room. :lol
I've stated that I like Alien Resurrection once or twice in my entire two and a half years of being on this forum.
I don't even think it's that good of a movie. I'd take any other film in the franchise over it.

The one and only reason I enjoy AvP:R is the simply that it's an A/P movie and I like seeing the monsters on screen together. Doesn't change the fact that it's a horrible disgrace.

Shhh......you don't have room to talk, remember? You like two really ****ty movies. No amount of reasoning can justify it. So don't even try. And if you do, then you're a hypocrite. :lol

Didn't you like Prometheus too? :lol

No, I loved it. It's a great movie.

Aren't you the one who stated AvP:R would be a good movie if it wasn't so dark? :lol :monkey1

I don't know this song for me has more emotional punch than anything from Star wars for example:

that song combined with the ending of the movie almost made me cry, listening to it now still gives me chills. Nothing in Star wars comes close to ending credits songs for me. I mean Star Wars was fun sure but this one song when the movie ended was so powerful.

(I'm not sure any other song has had the effect this had on me, maybe the soundtrack to Edward Scissorhands made me feel that sad, but certainly nothing in SW)

More likely to stand the test of time?

My time machine is not quite ready so I can't tell yet. My quess would be that LoTR will stand well enough.

Besides many future generations will only get to see crappy versions of original SW-trilogy since Lucas made such a good job not to show those originals.

So for me LoTR wins any given day. That wasn't even difficult choise consodering how lame this whole SW franchise has gone.

About the giant eagles: Well obviously those weren't such a good idea and they only had one change to get things right. If you don't get the very idea why some hobbits got the ring to bear, then you don't. It isn't even a plot hole. If you prefer SW then fine, but that is still an silly argument.

This is what I got to see every time I watched "Star Wars." I never fast forwarded it. It's part of the movie to me. And seeing this again gives me warm fuzzy feelings of my childhood. I was part of that whole new generation who would experience it for the very first time. And so will my kids. I hope I raise them right and they don't think they're "boring." I don't own the prequels so it shouldn't be too hard.

. . . One Last Time

I also remember the interviews before the film with Leonard Maltin. Needless to say, after seeing it the first couple of times, I'd fast forward and skipped past those. :lol

I just watched all the special features/documentaries from the Blu Ray Extended Edition sets. I haven't watched them in over a decade just about.

If I were asked today as to which one I like better, I'd go with Lord of The Rings. I've been in total LOTR mode again since before the Hobbit (especially after I saw all three in theaters again).

Tomorrow might be a different story. Depends on my mood. A few months now I might be in "Star Wars" mode and watch Star Wars, Empire, etc. and really enjoy the hell out of them.

Today though? The Fellowship, orcs, wizards and hobbits it is. Sorry Luke, Han, Vader and the rest of the gang, maybe another time.

We should have another poll...Using the first film The Hobbit ....Will the second Middle-Earth trilogy be better than the Second Star Wars Trilogy?...I vote yes

I think the second Middle Earth trilogy may very well be better than the FIRST Star Wars trilogy if UAJ is any indication. We'll know in a couple years.
