Oh don't even get me started on plot holes in the Star Wars Trilogy.
But one plot hole doesn't turn it in in to one 2-3 hour film and not 3 18 hours films.

Don't you have a bike to go wreck again?
Which clearly failed because before the first was even over, everybody was looking for a Hobbit with the ring.
Wonder how many of those who voted for SW did so only because they had seen it as a child first?
Sentimental value>>>rational voting
plenty...Guarranteed!...just like the 89 Batman vs Nolan Batman...
I saw both film series as a child. I was older with LOTR, but only...what..like 10? Finished the series when I was 12.
Honestly? When I watched Star Wars, it grabbed me. I loved being in that world. LOTR? I was begging to leave. Because holy ****, it was long. I saw Two Towers opening night, same with Return of the King. I did end up liking Return of the King the most. It was the most fun.
But I walked out after the 45th ending.
So no, LOTR never left an impression on me. I'd like to revisit them sometime...but they just never gave me any feeling I had when I saw Star Wars.
They are great movies. Perfectly made, well acted, everything is good.
But that world does nothing for me. Not a damn thing.

I think we can all agree that your taste in movies is abysmal and juvenile. If you actually voted for LOTR, perhaps hell really did freeze over.

In other words, my selection is losing so whoever doesn't agree with me is stupid..
You like Superman Returns.
It's The Lord of the Rings and not even close for me. It's better directed, better story, better visuals, better characters, more depth to the story, and a better journey from start to finish.
the shaft trilogy with richard roundtree tops both.
