:lol :exactly:Judging by the press shoots I’ve been seeing all over the internet of Obi, together with Ashoka and Dinn for the Pedro, Zoe and Ewan D+ promo tour I wish Mando would be in the Obi series but that would make no sense since Dinn probably didn’t even exist when young Obi Wan was wondering around considering Dinn became a Mandalorian as a child

This show is really only about 15 years removed from Mandalorian. He absolutely could be running around as an elder teen or young adult.

Well, the “average viewer” wouldn’t even give a crap about Ewan or Hayden coming back. They’ve specifically made a big deal about this being “for the fans” since it was announced.
True..but most people know who or at least the name Darth Vader and c’mon this is Disney we are talking about ..why wouldn’t they want to appeal to the average non fan to boost sales in subscriptions for the D+ not to mention get new subscriptions in the process:lol

Say what you will about the Prequels, but I always liked Ewan as Obi-Wan. He's definitely one of the highlights of the PT. That 30-second clip did all it needed to get me excited to see him play the part again. Bring it on!
The Prequels had/have a lot of problems.

Ewan’s Obi-Wan was certainly not one of them.

It will be interesting to see if they explore or revisit at all Owen Lars in the series and if there is any interaction with Obi Wan and Owen, because we all know in ANH Owen did his best to fill Luke’s mind as Obi being a strange man tied to Luke’s father that Luke should stay away from when we clearly saw at the end of ROTS , Owen did know Obi Wan. The possibilities are endless what they can rehash in this one series..

The anticipation and expectation I want is at a high level :horror

can you imagine if Disney does their typical fashion of tying the Mandalorian franchise to this series ..it could be as subtle as an appearance of Ashoka (if any) in an episode mentioning the Mandalorian Creed taking in and training a young ward to their camp :lol

Not sure if you've seen the trailer and/or the clip released, but there is definitely some interaction between Owen and Obi-Wan in this series.

I have but a trailer can be misleading..let’s see how deep they go with the Owen connection .

And to think about it..Beru said nothing to Luke about Obi in the infamous ANH kitchen scene …hmmm..something there ..maybe

Does anyone feel this is the one D+ series that needs to be double the episodes ..there is so much they can tell, I hope it doesn’t feel rushed heading to the season finale

I think they made the right move with picking when to set it. Yes, the gap between episodes 3 and 4 is big and a lot of room for stories to tell, but from what I gather of the rumors and such, the core of this series is to show us how Obi-Wan took the events at the end of ROTS, which had to have taken a toll on him mentally and emotionally, and how he overcomes that to be come the Jedi Master he was in Episode 4. I think it's going to be a perfect bridge story to connect the two points in his life.

Interesting theory. I have a strong feeling getting Hayden to commit to the show kind of curved the timeline plot of this show. I think they always wanted a young Vader involved even though disfigured and in a suit , for fandom I see them wanting a fresh Vader to make an appearance played by Hayden of course or even revisit Anakin’s form somehow.

So naturally, it focuses on a time shortly after ROTS

Much like the surprise of Luke showing up in the Mandalorian S2 finale

I would love to see this show capture this moment that the comics dared to do in an episode

I think a de-aged Ahsoka is very likely as I don't see how they can resist with the tie to Anakin and her own series coming...

AOTC was peak unfiltered George, Flash Gordon meets hard-boiled dicks and B-movie SF. It's glorious for what it is.

Even if you didn't like the acting, directing or script, the design and world-building (and yes, collectibles) were first-rate as usual.
