I'm talking about the presence of the Empire on Tatooine (a backwater planet in the Outer Rim with little to no significance to the Empire) and Obi-Wan's isolation at this point in the story.

ROTJ is 13 years after this show. The Empire only goes to Tatooine in ANH because the droids' escape pod crash lands there. It doesn't appear to be a planet that the Empire would otherwise bother with.

I get what you're saying, but you're implying Tatooine has no communication with any other planets?

There's no galactic "internet," some way that information reaches the planet about what's happening across the galaxy? A newspaper? lol. Something? Anything?

Part two was better inasmuch there was more interesting scenery and a wider variety of characters.

I think the target audience are kids aged around the age of the Leia actress - which seems about eight rather than ten.

But... where's Luke? Is he okay?

OBIWAN SHOW SPOILERS.

Reeva is a total badass. With time she may become a bigger movie villain than Darth Vader, who sure couldn't go all those flips and twists across the buildings. Not sure I'll get her figure though, not sure my detolf is big enough.

A strong first 2 episodes with some real cliffhangers, I thought for a second Reeva was gonna follow up on her threat to kill Owen, and I thought Leia was history when she fell.

Leia a playful, way overly virtuous, way overly sassy 10 year old in an 8 year old's body. Kennedy Lucasfilm Luke probably gonna be a reckless 10 year old who likes spaceships, fart jokes, and pinching Camie Marstrap's ***.

Leia wears green, and she isn't much bigger than Grogu...

You don't care if he's OK. You just want to know if he's showing.....

Did I get it right?

I'm trying hard to give this show a fair shake but I'm fighting the urge to be too critical based on the fact that I know a lot of this stuff contradicts what fans know and/or have reasonably deduced from the OT. In short I really do think this is a show that is unnecessary and shouldn't be made but was too irresistible to a company like Disney because of it's obvious money making potential.

Nope, not implying that. I'm saying that Obi-Wan is so out of touch and disconnected that he is probably not aware of many things happening outside of Tatooine and is not getting involved. He's probably not even aware of many things happening on Tatooine itself, such is his current state of mind. Many people on Tatooine may be aware of Darth Vader rampaging across the Galaxy enforcing the Emperor's will, that doesn't mean that Obi-Wan is.

And that makes sense, given his mental state and self imposed isolation.

*spoilers*

I’m probably in the minority but I thought Reva was quite badass, as was the Grand Inquisitor. They were both acted really well. That scene where she’s calling Obi-Wan’s name was chilling. I do wonder if the backlash against her would be there if she was a he, a white woman, or alien character. I’m not exactly the most pro-woke guy but I really do sense a bit of racism going on with this character. I hate calling people out on that, it’s just rather obvious this time around.

Btw I’m not necessarily accusing anyone on here of that, there’s just a hell of a lot of it out there on YouTube and elsewhere on the internet, so it’s definitely a thing.

But they had to make Reva MORE badass than the GRAND Inquisitor obviously.

I don't like her character, she's loud and annoying, she thinks she's more badass than she really is or comes across.

The other Inquisotors don't even like her, so why should we? I was willing to give her a chance but she just doesn't work for me.
