I'm downright shocked they literally crossed lightsabers, I wouldn't call it a duel because of how poor Kenobi did in it, Vader was just toying with him with one arm. Vader was pretty awesome though, I mean he literally snapped that kids neck on screen lol, crazy they put that in.

OK, back to the show...
I'm already looking forward to Obi-Wan/Vader Round 2, hopefully prefaced by a Rocky style Obi-Wan training montage set in the middle of the desert. Obi-Wan should be shirtless & complaining that he's "getting too old for this sort of thing" while Coach/Force Ghost Qui-Gon exhorts him to fight through the pain. "Eye of the tiger, baby! Eye of the TIGER!!"
Obi and Qui-Gonn sprinting on the beach, celebrating lovingly in each others arms. Eye of the Tiger, indeed!

No I do not lol. I just told you but I guess you don’t want to listen. It’s ok to criticize a character for sucking but just hating a character because they are a woman a different race or just being there is silly. I said I don’t get the hate for her when she’s not as bad as some of the other characters like the st cast. I don’t know what you aren’t getting. It’s really not that hard to understand

It's obvious we don't understand what each other is trying to say here.
There's no point in continuing.

When they're trying to put across that he's out of practice in the force and the fact he hid his lightsaber in the desert that does suggest closing himself off from the force - problem is what happened to the training Yoda said he had for him at the end of ROTS? And can he be closed off from the force and yet still think he can talk to Qui-Gon?

Yeah, that’s a good point.
It seems so contrary to the established character of Obi Wan to not use the Force at all. When clearly it’s a strong ally as Yoda said in ESB to Luke. Ok don’t brandish the saber but what about Force influence of weak minds in certain situations? Seeing the future? Communication over vast distances? How about “I’m not the Jedi you’re looking for.” in the back of that transport with Leia?

If you agree that Mando S1/S2 are better than the PT and ST then your entire statement is null and void lol

Mandalorian came before covid jye, I'm disappointed in you today so far...

We shouldn't ask questions like that. Tho in theory, hiding the light sabers could just be for safety - the show is inconsistent. I thought Obi woke up at one point and was talking to the Force/thin air, so how could he be cut off?

I think the mindset is that when you are part of a much larger army it’s much easier to be confident and proactive but when you are one versus an empire it quickly becomes far too risky to start yelling “Look at me, look at what I can do!”

Nobody ever questioned the most powerful Jedi Yoda hiding.

My impression is that the only thing Obi-Wan has to do with the Force at this point in his life is trying to communicate with Qui-Gon, and doing that to find guidance and only in privacy. All of his other traits, he's buried figuratively and literally to avoid being found, presumably for 10 years. Stop doing anything for 10 years and try being just as good as ever with it when you start back up again. I think his struggles have been perfectly plausible and believable.

Waiting for all the "wHerEs oBi-wAns BrOtHeR, wHy haVe wE nEveR hEarD oF tHis bEfOrE" comments and videos etc. as if every throwaway mention in Star Wars needs to be something bigger :lol
The series finale photo leaked about Obi-Wan's brother! :panic::panic::panic:

Relax, I'm Chicano so it's okay. :monkey3

Ummm, erm, what the hell did I just watch?

Ok, well it's the best episode thus far, but like some of the BOBF episodes the direction is just off. Way off.

Scenes go from being awesome to goofy within seconds, logic is all over the place, and it totally breaks cannon.

I really don't know what I think of this to be honest?

For the people saying why did Vader just let obiwan escape. I think he just wants to savor his suffering. He doesn’t want to outright kill him
Precisely, he literally says it's just begun, and he extinguishes the fire and pushes Kenobi away rather than letting him die. He is full of rage towards him and doesn't have quick plans.

Yoda could lift an X-wing after 20 years of hiding.

Again, inconsistent Force. If only Obi could speed-run, he'd catch that lil' Leia-Sonic.

Yeah sure. Vader spent 10 years hunting him so they could just cut him loose after five seconds of tickling him with some hot coals. Some people are so desperate to like this stuff that they are willing to lie to themselves.

They even had the doofus Inquisitors lamenting his inexplicable escape.

I didn't expect Vader to be on the ground so quickly but it made sense once they found Obi Wan. Then when he snapped the kid's neck for interfering. I couldn't believe they put that in the show but I think it was important to show that he is a villain. It made me remember he is the one who wiped out most of the Padawans. (Sorry, Younglings*)
