I just wrote a novel length post about everything wrong with this episode and this series and my ******* computer froze and I lost it all, so I'm just taking that as a sign from the universe to just stop watching and complaining about this ****.

Yoda never cut himself off from the force.
He also hid on a world where he didn't have to hide his powers.

How do you guys know? Wait until "Dagobah, the series" is made and you see all the adventures and missions Yoda went on that none of us knew about.

I should turn the computer off and just walk away, but I never do what's good for me.

The only possible "plot point" that's even going to be remotely relevant going forward is the fact that Obi Wan has a brother. You don't drop a deuce like that unless you plan on using it. As pea-brained as everyone at Lusasfilm seems to be, that means using some established character to reveal is Obi Wan's long lost brother.

Good lord, what if they make it Owen? (I know, in the original ROTJ novelization Owen was indeed Obi Wan's brother.) But just imagine how much smaller and even more incestuous this tiny galaxy will be if that's the case. Or hell, why not Bail Organa?

Or maybe it's just laying the groundwork for a character Lucasfilm already has in development, to show a whole new side of the SW universe and tell totally new and different stories??

Oh. Yeah. I forgot they don't do that.

Obi-Wan has been in exile for 10 years seeing everything crumble around him, he's had to cut himself off, forget about the force, but from himself. Turning a blind eye to every single injustice he's witnessing from the reign of the Empire, which is to say a lot, that's a lot of suffering in 10 years. Vader has been painfully trying to find him, so he finds him gives him an arm burn then let's him go not knowing where he is going to head off to, could be another 10 years before he see---LOOLOL A NEW HOPE. Should have just made a Souvlaki outta him mate.

Also, we just going to ignore that Ben gets Leia back to Alderaan with Bail Organa and that she happily grows up there for 9 more years whilst Ben is hiding again, and Vader knows she's there and he DOESN'T try to kidnap her again to lure Ben out? Man, where's the fool me once?

Oh. Yeah. I forgot they don't do that.
His brother is going to play absolutely 0 part in the universe moving forward.

Obi-Wan - ''Han. Han Solo is my brother!''
Ghost of Qui-Gon - ''Your insight serves you well. Bury your feelings deep down Obi-Wan. They do you credit, but they could be made to serve the Emperor''

edit - nahh..they'd have to be much closer in age wouldn't they. Still, I wanted to do the ROTJ scene.

I watched the latest one -

Although I wanted her involvement to end with this episode and it looks like it won't, child Leia did great in this and I liked her Endor-esque poncho outfit. So I think the actress was well chosen - it's just the misgivings I have about whether we should be seeing her on an adventure with Obi-Wan at all given the formal nature of her message to him in ANH which was more suggestive of never having met him.

Learning more about Obi-Wan's past/family - no particular objection.

Reva was better in this one. It seemed to me.

Vader and Vader VS Obi-Wan.....I don't know. I just don't know.

Know what really bugged me in episode 3 like really bad.

Actually 2 things.

When Vader’s mask went on his breath didn’t blow the mist blowing in the air like it did in ROTS.

The other was Reva not responding to Vader with “Yes my Lord” even though he just finished threatening her life so disrespectful that Reva lol

Mando.

Din Djarin is his Mandalorian name, given to him when he was reborn into their sect.

His birth name of course was Doug. Doug Kenobi.

We'll find out in time how strong he is with The Force.

Now that he is kicked from his people it's the adventures of Doug and Grogu. He should go hit up Maz Kanata to see if she can hook him up with his brother's lightsaber. Then Doug can duel wield, wouldn't that be neat!

I guess I'm the only one that doesn't like seeing Darth Vader as a murder-demon rampaging around and breaking necks with the Force.

I didn't like it at all in Rogue One, cause I thought it was just over the top gratuitous fan wankery, but at least those were soldiers.

I have no idea why he'd walk down a street and just kill all the innocent people cowering in fear just for the hell of it.

When he chokes and kills the rebel in ANH he does it with his hands. I always liked the sound effects in that scene.

Then came ESB and he got all Force choke happy. Not in a "Vader! Release him!" way...but just killing officers for the hell of it.

I don't know why I'm such a prude about it. I loved it when Luke smashed all those Dark Troopers but they were just robots. I guess I'm just old-fashioned.
