Haha, that sucks! They have moved on from Lucasfilm. That ****** video last night might have been what they were going to show.

That's not what she said. While the longer version is nice I do prefer the impact of the shorter version.

Bingo. It looks like fire behind them, not lava. Maybe Vader will get burned again.
I was hoping they didn't have Obi and Vader fighting in this show because it would further diminish their fight in ANH. Their fight in ANH was already underwhelming by today's standards, but now having them in what I'm guessing is going to be a spectacle of a match, it will not only make their final battle in ANH even more dated by comparison, but also not matter as much because it will no longer be the first time they see each other since Ep 3, when Anakin died and became Vader.
It looks like a desperate attempt to get people watching just like how Star Trek Discovery brought back Mr. Spock.
Bingo.
Vader's dialogue in ANH when he says "The circle is now complete" has more weight and significance if that was their first encounter since Kenobi left Anakin for dead. This was now *finally* the opportunity for a reckoning.
But if that Death Star duel was their *second* since Mustafar, then not only does the scene lose contextual value, but it also means that Vader wasn't good at geometry ...or maybe he just knew that "The triangle is now complete" doesn't have the same ring to it.
would Old Ben really not make another attempt to access the Anakin he once knew?
A planet he knew Vader wouldn't go back to.
My guess is Vader will not go back to Tatooine, but Ben will leave the planet and go on some mission to help someone, maybe other jedi. So if Vader and Ben fight again, it will be in some other planet. I'm sure the "force" will be looking out for Luke during these Obi adventures.Disney doesn't understand this, and will not respect it.
But what if this show ends up being otherwise really really good in your estimation? Will you be able excuse it for not jibing with that line of dialogue? Especially if it smooths over other issues of Lucas failing to properly connect ROTS with all the details of that era given in ANH.Bingo.

Star Wars was always just an expensive cartoon and Disney has sucked any heart it may have once had bone dry. It's the way of things and I'm at peace with it.I could see Vader setting foot on Tatooine in the show at some point. He's never been seen on a desert planet. I wouldn't put it past Disney. (Honestly, I really don't care)
