I dunno, I just do not expect some kind of life changing entertainment from TV or movies anymore. They are just really rare, and if I put that up as my benchmark, of course nothing it going to breech that mark.

I grew up watching 70 and 80’s TV which was terrible at best. Compared to the likes of Sanford and Son, The Dukes of Hazzard, Little House on thr Praire or Dynasty, the current crop of shows approaches Shakespear. Never mind the crap they are spewing out on the networks currently.

I see people whom are never happy with their entertainment. Not sure if its just being edgy or its easier to say you hate something rather than risk riducule if you like it. Manybe some folks are just hard to please, but I think its more about the current culture of just making fun of everything , meme culture if you will.

To me there are only a few TV shows that are truely great, and thats over decades of TV shows…

In not particular order.

1.Millennium
2. Firefly
3. Battlestar Galactica 2000’s
4. Breaking Bad
5. Daredevil
6. The Wire
7. The Simpsons
8. Star Trek TNG
9. Dr Who
10.. Parks and Rec
11. The Young Ones
12. Futurama
These are the only shows I would bother to watch over again, And even in this list , some if the seasons were weak. The point is, TV is mostly passing the time type entertainment. If it entertains for an hour, I am good with it. Just about all the Disney plus offerings have done that well, some better than others

In order of entertainment value.

1. Mando
2. Mando 2.5 (in Boba Fett)
3. Loki
4. Hawkeye
5. BOBF
6. Wanda Vision
7. Falcon and Wintersoldier

All had good moments, great production value, and to my interests were pretty sweet to have such shows catering to my personal tastes…..

Who the hell wants another CSI, gameshow or High school drama to watch?

But it doesn't have to be that way; as you point out below, something can just entertain and that's fine, but everyone's criteria are different.

There is absolutely that, but the rest seems to come down to a combination of tastes and tolerances.

Hmmm...in no particular order:
  • Firefly
  • The Expanse
  • Breaking Bad
  • The Sopranos
  • The Wire
  • Mad Men
  • What We Do in the Shadows
  • Rome
  • The Young Pope
...probably a few others. Several I'd include if they'd ended as strong as they started. Or at least ended without tanking, the former is a tall order. Plenty of shows I loved that were very uneven throughout their run, as well. Consistency is hard to do.

I seldom re-watch series. For me, D+ ranks around:

In order of entertainment value.

1. Mando
2. Hawkeye
.
.
.
.
3. Wanda Vision

The rest kinda went nowhere for me and WandaVision failed to stick the landing. While I really did hate TFaWS, BoBF was worse because I cared about it more. Not some head canon thing, I've posted enough screeds regarding scripts, production design, direction etc. etc. ... I think part of the reason is I'm just not Disney's target market or something, I don't know. I did wonder at one point if I didn't just hate everything, but I really enjoyed Dune and loved The Batman, so no ...

Disney announced that they will be blocking subscribers who sign up then cancel and sign up again a few months later. They are calling it the "Loyalty Program"... if you're not with us, then you're against us.

Disney only saves the subscribers they love. For those subscribers they send Rose Tico out to your house to prevent you from canceling.

Anybody else cancelling D+ after Obi Wan? I’ll pick it up for the next SW series but I have no interest in Marvel series anymore.. IDK I boarder line hate everything Disney does anymore

No, its just too convenient having all this SW stuff on tap 24/7 plus i am now watching CW and its starting to get interesting.

What if i cancelled and suddenly got a yen to rewatch Mando? *panic attack* gotta keep it.

So much for human rights. For the record I haven't reactivated since my free trial. From what I can tell I haven't missed much.
