That line, above all else, shows what a liar amd fraud GL is.

He always said he cut that scene cause he wanted a big monster to be Jabba….but ran out of money.

Orignally it was an actor, human no less. Thats why he says that line….

GL just lied like Obi later so he could cram crappy CGI into a masterpiece.
Yeah, maybe at one point George wanted a stop-motion monster to be Jabba but when he realized it wasn't in the budget the actor he ended up casting was clearly meant to be seen that way on screen, hence the "wonderful human being" line and an elaborate, locale appropriate costume that they never would have constructed for a mere stand-in.

Kathleen: "The debate around whether we should do that [include Vader in this show] or not carried on for quite some time," she told EW. "Everybody within our creative team has strong opinions, and all of our fans have strong opinions. So when you realize that you're under that level of scrutiny, certainly a story point like that is going to be scrutinized at a very high level. We talked about it constantly."

Translation: We're not super-fond of the shellacking we took over BoBF, especially in retrospect.

Let's see if this affects any of their decisions, even in post-production. My money's on "no," but being pleasantly surprised would be nice.

I wanna do a meme with Obi Wan using his binocs to spy on Luke but splice in the scenes from the "There's Something About Mary" binocs scene.

But since this is a family sight, I won't.

But now I've put it all into your brains anyway, so you can't unsee it. Enjoy.

Prime Clone, you're a wonderful slug.

Doesn't quite play, does it?

Part of my problem with it is the reference to "human being". It just screams Earth. But Star Wars has a lot of oddities like that -- like when they say "hell". Do they have a Hell in a galaxy far, far away? Do Nerf-herders go to hell?

Or falcons, or millennia or parsecs for that matter. Or, according to Legends, roller skates!

Wise to premier first 2 episodes together. They should have done that with BoBF. Of course it wouldn't have saved that series in the long run but it would have been a better start to things.

So this comes out in May and now it's not releasing on May 4th or the 45th anniversary AND they put it head to head with the Stranger Things premiere. Must have been some real geniuses making this decision.

Star Wars Day means nothing to Disney.
Or maybe it does and they didn't want to taint it with this:
