Not that impressed with the hair head, and my display space is limited. I'll probably open her to make sure everything checks out, then set up a display when the new head and 10 show up. Bought the qmx 50th poster to display with the 3 signature editions to build a nice display. I still need to get a frame for the poster as well.

I don't like this figure, something looks really off about the face other than the fact it doesn't really look like Karen to me but I am glad BCS kept with it, I really want the bugs worked out before we get a River and Clara (fingers crossed)
For anyone who is waiting for their local comic shop or US-based online retailer to get these from Diamond, Amy is on our store's shipping list for next week. We have 2 preorders left here. Diamond actually a lot moved faster than I expected this time, compared to how long it too them to distribute the 11th Doctor.

A lot has happened since then though. I will be VERY surprised to see Clara anytime soon.

Yes, you are probably right Pixle, but I do expect them to reuse the female body at some point now that they've developed it and I would certainly expect sculpted hair.
Very true. I think I would expect Sarah Jane or some other classic companion before we see anymore from the new series. Maaaaaaybe a Rose.

Really? I think Clara is still a go. For one thing, she's supposed to be the companion for the 12th Doctor to start with. I think she'd be a safer bet in some ways than Sarah Jane. Though, personally, I'd prefer Sarah Jane. I don't think the fact it was a new series companion led to what is sure to be less than stellar sales, and I think BCS knows that. If Amy had a well loved head, had come out earlier, and not had so many factory woes... I think she would have been fine.
That being said, I don't have a good pulse on how much fandom likes Clara. So maybe she is more of a risk.
River, sadly, I'd be (pleasantly) surprised to see any time soon.

So it seems...To paraphrase old Will Shakespeare, a Rose by any other name would still look like a Banana Split reject. As I hear it, she is picky about likeness rights at certain scales
. She seems OK at smaller sizes but not at this larger size. Could very well be wrong though, she was lovely with my son when he met her (and Jenna-Louise, as it happens) at a recent convention we attended last month.Also, when we wrote to her via the BBC WHO Production Office, she answered by sending us one dedicated and autographed photo each, which she really did not need to do. So she is clearly good to her fan base.
@ Thamesvalidude, whilst in theory, more companion figures would be lovely I believe that Pixeltwin is sadly correct. I think that whatever companion plans they had for the near future, have now been put onto a slow back-burner. The idea and desire to do it is still there, but the realistic option of doing it in the near-to-mid future is not imminent. I too would love to see a River Song (despite the character being hideously over exposed) and a Rose and a Sarah-Jane at some point, but I think they themselves have realised that it's Doctors first to establish the line that they will specialise in.
I wonder what BCS's relationship is with Daleks and the Terry Nation estate. Do they have the right to produce them?

Agreed, I don't think they'll be touching another female figure for a long long time. Amy was a nightmare for them and considering that a Clara figure would require a build from the ground up, I wouldn't hold my breath for a Clara figure.
PT, are you still getting Amy or did you decide against it?
I will pick her up sometime down the road. I am embarassed to say though, I used my "Amy funds" to purchase C3PO when I saw him on sale for $240.... The choice was clear: "meh Amy" figure for $240 or iconic die cast metal amazingly deltailed and engineered C3PO?
