Wow so Matt, Capaldi and the TARDIS over the span of a month or two. The old Detolf is going to fill up pretty quickly this summer.

Does this look like a stain on the neck from the bowtie to any of you folks? I recall the first version of the 11th doctor had quite a problem with the bowtie staining the neck and I'm being told that it's a shadow, but it sure doesn't look like a shadow to me. What do you all think?

^ Doesn't look much like a shadow to me either - Looks more like a smudge mark caused by the fabric.

It's definitely a shadow, confirmed by BCS and through another pic without it.

Can't wait for this one either...especially as I didn't get the first 11th Doctor figure. I do actually prefer this look/outfit over the first one so it's worked out quite well for me!

I'm not blown away by the Stetson head either (not that it's bad, I'm just not 'wowed' by it), but regardless, I'm happy to withhold judgement until I actually have it in hand.

I think the stetson head looks meh because it appears to be the same headsculpt that BCS made when they were going to do accessory packs. The head is the same headsculpt as the first BCS Doctor Who figure expect with less paint apps.

On the bright side, the fez head, which was another head for an accessory pack, was recreated as a separate piece that can be worn on the series 7 11' Doctor's head. I guess they didn't do the same with the Stetson hat (they could have easily made just the hat and maybe another wig for the series 7 head) because Matt Smith never wore the hat in series 7 and the older sculpt reflected how he looked during series 6.

The Hartnell figure really raised the bar high for them, this was from these shots definitely isn't hitting that bar but it should be interesting to see how it compares to he first release.

I guess they didn't do the same with the Stetson hat (they could have easily made just the hat and maybe another wig for the series 7 head) because Matt Smith never wore the hat in series 7 and the older sculpt reflected how he looked during series 6.

He did wear a Stetson in A Town Called Mercy but that one has a different hatband and a bullet hole.

I'm just happy that we get the Stetson head at all so I can finally have an 11 wearing the hat instead of holding it in his hand. I'm getting 2 of those heads, will change the hatband on one to get the Mercy look.

I'm not really digging the newer Matt sculpts. The first one wasn't perfect but has been the best so far in my opinion, and is really damn photogenic at some angles.
