Big Chief Studios - 1/6 Doctor Who - #11 Matt Smith in Series 7 costume

I'm not really digging the newer Matt sculpts. The first one wasn't perfect but has been the best so far in my opinion, and is really damn photogenic at some angles.

Aside from what I said in my previous post, I think the stetson one looks odd despite being the same sculpt as the first version is that it is a new mold by another manufacturer. Didn't Big Chief used another manufacturing plant after the defects with Amy, which delayed the figure? it explains why the Amy figure came out strange as that figure, the one we actually got, was from the current manufacturer they used - the soft plastic face and the decos of the stetson 11 looks somewhat familar to Amy. Maybe the molding process and the paint deco is different at the current manufacturing plant to the point where the BCS had to go with a different method with the 4th, 10th, molded hair Amy Pond, and 1st Doctor figures. I am guessing at this point.

Corrose is making little sheriff badges, I asked if he could do one that says Marshal instead and he will if some more people want this version, I thought maybe some of you might like one for your 11th Doctor to go with the stetson look.

And if you haven't seen already, the smiling Tom Baker and Matt Smith Stetson heads are already on their way, along with the Weeping Angels, and all should ship this month (Angels first, then the heads).

Hmm, looking at that I might have to reconsider and order this one after all. It's not my favorite costume of his, but it would still be nice to have a Smith figure that captured some of his actual personality.

Just ordered and paid for this. This is going to be amazing - the quality looks good and in terms of value it's unbeatable (two heads! separate hair! Handles head!) but above all else... it's a PURPLE OUTFIT. You've got to love action figures in purple outfits.

Love me some purple - colourwise he'll go great with my room!!! This figure looks superb - cannot wait for this one as I didn't get the first Eleven. Glad I had another chance to get him especially as I do actually prefer this outfit

This outfit is the best of the three main styles Matt Smith wore. I love frock coats, and his Chesterfield style is a fantastic variant of it; as someone who owns a coat like it (wool, grey, slight tweed pattern), I know just how awesomely comfortable they are.

That being said, my 1/6 collection is sorely lacking in Vibrant colors (Mechanic, Tyrion, custom John Wick, Star Lord is a bit better). The purple will really pop and stand out.

My Eleven is already paid for, his spot in the display case is waiting, and I've already completed my kitbash Capaldi (based on his Time Heist look), who's just waiting for that pack in head sculpt to be made complete. So the sooner this one hits, the better in my book.
