Eh. Mine is still "processing," I probably won't get it until late next week. :(

No, no wire, but the tailoring is beautiful. Silk lining and pockets on the inside too.

Thanks buddy! He sure did, really great looking.

Here's an extra for you folks.

The watch has some nice detail.

Overall though, this is a fantastic figure. Big Chief can still learn a bit from bigger companies, but at the same time BIG companies could learn a lot from them. The tailoring on the pants is exquisite as well.

I might be wrong, but I thought I read somewhere that the Handles incentive was being sent out in a separate box (one like the extra heads I'd imagine) and wasn't in the actual boxed figure packaging? So maybe, if that is the case, they got separated in the post?

Of course if I'm not imagining things, and that actually is the case, then it would have been a good idea to make sure everyone was aware of that so no one panics when it isn't in the box on arrival. I'm sure you'll get it sorted, anyway.

Either way, glad to see that this turned out so well. Unfortunately I won't see mine for a couple of weeks, as they have taken to shipping everything to Australia via untracked economy post now, yet it still seems to cost me the same in postage costs as the old faster shipping on prior figures did, so I'm not sure what the deal is with that exactly... :dunno

Oh well, at least it's definitely worth waiting for. :yess:

Just received an email from Mark at BC.

Says the action figure ( w handles) has been sent. The tracking link though, resulted in an error. So I'm not sure where it is! Haha, but it's on it's way.

Mine was shipped via FedEx with a tracking number :dunno

It was indeed economy though, so it's still gonna take longer.

I just picked mine up from FedEx. Handles is in a separate box similar to the recent 4th and 11th Doctor heads. The way BCS is sending them out, the handles box and the 11th brown shipping box are being sent together with and plastic bag surrounding them both to make one package. If anyone receives their order with the separate Handles box not included I would contact BCS immediately.

It's a doll, not an action figure :lol

You know that, and I know that, but the email thinks its an action figure. Good enough for me.. Haha!

Just messing with ya. I think it's funny when people get all upset when they're called dolls haha

If you want to get technical, dolls and action figures are ultimately the same thing, just with different titles to appeal to different gender groups.

I emailed BCS about Handles, I really hope I can still get one.

I had two figures set to arrive today and DHL asked by text if I wanted to pick them up from a collection point near me, so I stupidly said yes... and only one was there! Will ring DHL tomorrow to ask where the **** my figure is.

That aside, it's been a great day, this figure is fantastic. Tailoring, sculpt, accessories, pretty much everything is superb. Love the way he looks with a fez (definitely my preferred display option) and no sign of any QC problems (yay!!!).

There are two things that I'd have liked to see them done do differently, neither of which spoil my enjoyment of the figure in any way. First - the body is a little looser than recent releases like Hartnell and the second run of Sherlock. I would like to see tighter joints on this body next time they use it (which reminds me - the neck height is perfect and an improvement on recent releases).

Second - I thought the paint apps to the face, and specifically the skin, were a little thick and ever so slightly beige as opposed to the pinker skin tone we saw in the promo pics. The thickness is obviously to do with texture, but it gives a very slight impression like he's wearing foundation! Still looks great on a shelf, and when you compare it to the Series 6 Eleven (which looked it had been painted with caramel latte and then dipped in grey paint) this is a hundred times better (bye bye first release Eleven! You were great for your time but it's time to leave the shelf gracefully!).

I really hope we see them do a Series 5 Eleven one day just to complete the set.

Reaction to this figure has been so good that I STRONGLY recommend anyone who wants one gets them before they sell out... the weeping angels sold out a day or two after they came into stock, don't get caught out!

EDIT: Can't believe I forgot this... they nailed Capaldi! This is great sculpt, the mouth, the eyebrows, everything and the eyes...!!!!! I don't think any of the pictures really do him justice. This is definitely superior to the sculpt that's coming with the 12 figure, and catches his Series 9 (and even Series 8 look) better than the 'official' 12 figure (which seems to be based on a look that he only had for a couple of episodes).

Just curious, but did they fix the overall height of the figure at all? My original Tennant and Smith figures look kinda undersized next to all my other figures (and have much smaller hands for some bizarre reason as well), and I was wondering if I should also expect the same thing with the upcoming Capaldi and Tennant v2 figures...

Or is that just BCS's thing and they're going for more of a Medicom size vs HT/Sideshow size?

I compared it to the original 11 and it seemed about the same height, but the body they use for all of them except Hartnell (who has shorter legs) is pretty much identical to a slim TT in its proportions, except for the legs - the TT is shorter!

Incidentally here's a photo of Capaldi taken from Twitter filming series 9 at the end of June - we've ended up with a Series 9 Capaldi head completely by accident!

Thanks for the information, much appreciated. :)

Good to see that everyone to have received theirs so far are overall quite happy with them.

Now excuse me while I go stare at the clock and try to make time speed up with what's left of my mind. :p

You know,at this point I'm really starting to believe that they just don't like me... :lol

Anyway, great review/overview Captain Britain, and thanks to everyone who has shared pics. :)
