Yeah, I'm bored of talking about Sherlock. This thread really took off when it became a thread about Desamo not telling us what he's not going to buy.

Thanks, little man!

You know... Moriarty was one of my least favorite things about Sherlock to begin with. I re-watched the first season recently and started to come around though. I did like him better overall in the second season.

Wow, I am exactly the opposite. As good as the writing and everything else is on that show, Moriarty might be my favorite thing. But I wasn't as crazy about him in the second season. I don't want to spoil anything for anyone, but I think it was because, even thought it was the second season, it was really only the 6th episode where.....all of that stuff happened. Again, trying not to spoil anything. I thought Andrew Scott was incredible. The first reveal of Moriarty....I've watched just that scene alone maybe 20 times because it is fantastic.

I though Moriarty was annoying as hell! They turned an the invisible genius intellectual mastermind into an annoying psychopath that sounded like yoda at times. lol. I love the series, but was disappointed with their take on Holmes Archenemy.

I like that they tried doing something different with him, but in a weird way the whole "I'm aCtUaLly a crazy PsYcOpaTH with a high-pitched squeaky voice sometimes!" routine has been done a bit much by recent villains so it felt kind of old hat too.

:goodpost::exactly: Love the show, but I feel the same way about there take on Moriarty, he was pretty annoying and not at all what I was hoping for. :(

Moriarty would have been too predictable if he like the books had the same demeanor as Sherlock and a tad out of place if he was modeled the way Guy Ritchie did for his films. Here the only thing that bothered me about Moriarty was his sometimes squeaky voice... or else I felt he was again a really fresh take on a psychopathic genius who disguised his controlled machinations with a visage encompassing both the comic and spontaneity.
