Was there a reason for the delay or is it simply, 'let's release it amongst lesser titles'?

Cos i don't give two shizt about getting GTAV on release or BO2 at all, but i do have this on a day one pre-order :(

Im actually ok with the delay. There will be games that will keep me busy until then.Assassin's creed 3,Resident Evil 6 and Fifa.

I think Alan Wake was longer than 5 years

At least they waited a couple of years before they announced this. Imagine how it would have been if they announced it back in 2007

I'm definitely okay with this delay given Levine's explanation:

"When we announced the release date of BioShock Infinite in March, we felt pretty good about the timing.

"Since then, we've uncovered opportunities to make Infinite into something even more extraordinary. Therefore, to give our talented team the time they need, we've decided to move the game's release to February 26, 2013. We wanted to let our loyal (and very patient!) fans know this as soon as possible.

"I won't kid you: BioShock Infinite is a very big game, and we're doing things that no one has ever done in a first-person shooter. We had a similar experience with the original BioShock, which was delayed several months as our original ship date drew near. Why? Because the Big Daddies weren't the Big Daddies you've since come to know and love. Because Andrew Ryan's golf club didn't have exactly the right swing. Because Rapture needed one more coat of grimy Art Deco.

"The same principle now applies to BioShock Infinite.

"What does this mean for you? It means a bit more waiting, but more importantly, it means an even better BioShock Infinite. The great can be made greater, and we owe it to both ourselves and to you, our fans, to take this opportunity.

"We are also going to hold off on showing BioShock Infinite at the big events of the summer, like E3 and Gamescom. That way, the next time you see our game, it will be essentially the product we intend to put in the box. Preparing for these events takes time away from development, time we're going to use instead to get the best version of Infinite into your hands in February."

I can't believe the bioshock dev edition book I bought yrs ago is selling for $300 on Ebay. it makes me feel like selling mine but what's money if I don't have that book. It's a bioshock bible

Not a game update but, Neca has some figures on display at SDCC. Looking good.

Neca said they would be done with the original Bioshock line after the splicer line, and given that they are holding back on producing the crawler and ladysmith 2.0 doesn't look promising. anyway Elizabeth looks gorgeous and the boy of silence looks great to. I hope his mouth can open and close.

anyword on the price of the skyhook or weather it will be limited?

Yeah I heard that. Too bad especially since the Big Daddies are some of NECA's best figures imo. I know the Splicers didn't sell well but the Big Daddies seemed to sell decently. Still I have hope, if not maybe some other company will make some BS1 and 2 figures.

thought they would have more bioshock figures on display. makes me wonder if we'll get a handyman, cause they are the big daddies of bioshock infinite

Um now I can buy that big ***** girl from the new game lol. Forget her name tho

her name is Elizabeth and what does everybody think of the real cloth dress? I have the feeling neca will make something to go with the collectors edition of this game.
