Have fun online did you? Well, since twice as many people bought the Xbox 360 version over the PS3 version they seem to enjoy it. I also enjoy the higher resolution and less blurriness.

I think they'll have their next console out before they get the 360 failure rate to a manageable level.

Umm, yea I had fun online. I worked from day one. And I've said a million times before, the reason it sold more on the 360 is because more people own the brick. Multiple gaming sites reviewed both and the winner is PS3, as it is slightly better. 360 fanboys just cannot admit when a game looks better on another console heaven forbid.

And no I do not own a 360 because A. The system is a POS that bricks. B. Microsoft is the devil. C. Microsoft would rather ship out a system that is clearly having hardware issues to get it out early, instead of waiting and giving gamers a quality system.

I've watched the comparison video of both versions and I prefer the clarity of the Xbox version to the blurriness of the PS3 version. But it's really a matter of preference because other than the higher resolution on the Xbox version there's not clear advantage to either side.

And--there's enough PS3's out there that it wouldn't matter if there's more Xbox owners than PS3 owners, for this the install base was not a limiting factor.

People like the Xbox version more because it's hardly different but yet has a superior online experience and the DLC that will be coming later exclusively for the system.

Do Sony's balls taste salty?

And D. It's hard enough to play one console with Sony's dick in my mouth

Typical, as Sideshowcollectors.com, should be renamed to 360fanboyowners.com, seriously...

Why are you here?

Oh yeah...

Yes it does.

PS3 sales: 12.81 million as of March 31, 2008
360 sales: 19 million as of April 25, 2008

So that's over a 6 million unit difference. Thus with more owners, more people are going to pick it up. But both companies won't release hard numbers in terms of the GTA4 sales. I've also seen both videos of GTA4 on both consoles side by side comparison and besides a slightly higher contrast on the 360 (which can be set manually in game) The game looks the same, except the PS3 runs a bit smoother, loads faster, and doesn't have as much pop in.

Let me see I'll try to anwser everyone elses remarks:

Do Sonys balls taste salty? I don't know, let me know how Microsofts taste first.

Why am I here? Because I enjoy collecting SS products. But I'm also a game and when I come here and find that the majority of threads in the gaming section are dedicated mainly to the 360, it really gets annoying.

Also when they (360 owners in general) brag about their system being better when it clearly isn't. I mean ares is still working right? Claiming that we have no good games for our console, but yet our console is actually made with quality in mind. You may have some good games but when the system bricks for the 3rd time in a row, and you keep getting them over and over again, is sad. Talk about having a companies balls in your mouth. It's sad people don't think they expect more from Microsoft as gamers. But what can we expect the 360 is america made after all.

.

Unlike you I own BOTH systems. I have compared both sytems and formed a REAL opinion rather than just sucking the balls of one company. The PS3 is a great system, I like the 360 more. I like the controllers more. I like the online network MUCH more. It's much more "plug and play" friendly ( not having to "register" your remote and headsets ), the online network is LEAPS and BOUNDS better than the Sony network. The graphics on both systems are even to my eye.

You're one of the FEW here just swinging from ONE companies nuts. Many here have both systems and have given informed opinions. I have no problem with my PS3. I love it, but I like my 360 more. That does not make me a "fanboy"....you however are EXACTLY what a "fanboy" is for Sony.

I'm a Sony fan yes and a Nintendo fan as well as I also own a Wii. You are stating which you prefer, not which is better. So the end.

But it IS better in my opinion and that's all that matters to me. To me, it's not a competition between systems. That seems to be what you are trying to make it for some reason. You like the PS3 better.....FINE....I liek the 360 better....FINE......who cares? You made it a competition and started acting like it was some kind of FACT that PS3 is a "better" gaming system. You seem to forget that the better system is like the better looking women....it's all in the eye of the beholder. Your opinion isn't fact anymore than mine is. So that's "the end" once you accept that your opinion isnt fact.

Except that it hasn't been sold to every PS3 owner, only 1 million (US sales), it hasn't reached all the Xbox owners either, therefore the size of the install base is not limiting the sales of the game but rather it's more what system people want it for. As far as running smoothly on PS3, that's thanks to the mandatory 3GB installation. Yey, let's fill up the hard drive with mandatory installations so our games can load 2 seconds faster... What is this, a PC?

You keep talking about the Xbox like it's a brick and fails constantly. I've never had any problems of any kind with my system. And millions of others would agree, people only talk when there's a problem and that's all your listening to. Although it must be hard to hear with your head so far up Sony's @ss.

Technically, install base certainly is a factor. With the logic that you're using there, it basically assumes that every single person who bought GTA4 has both consoles. No, people didn't always choose what console they bought it for since they don't own both. Logically, with a higher install base, of course it's more likely to sell more copies. You need to forget about the "science" of selling games and just go with logic.

Probably true, but install base can't be the deciding factor with all those games, otherwise there wouldn't be a good reason for the PS3 versions to be made if the Xbox version will sell so much better.

Yeah, because opinion and fact are the same thing. Was I even arguing what was better?

It was to the Starkiller's posts earlier about the PS3 having better graphics. In that article they tested several major games and found the versions either identical or with more of an advantage to the Xbox 360 (sometimes a drastic advantage as with Need For Speed Prostreet and Rainbow Six Vegas 2). They even said that the Xbox is better for GTAIV.

Have I... stumbled into the Indy 4 thread by mistake...?

Can't we all just agree to disagree?

For what it's worth, I also own all three, bought GTA4 for the PS3 and love it. Why? It's fun.

*reads thread title* ...as is Bioshock...

Another thing about the 360 that's great is the achievement system. Now before you start saying "Who cares about gamer scores?", yeah, I know many people don't care and even many 360 owners don't care. It's not about "gamer score", but more about knowing WHAT you missed when playing through the game. I like to exp as much of the game as I can and the achievements on the 360 let you know how much of the game you have actually completed and what you have missed. just playing straight through a story can leave a lot out, but with the achievements you can see what's there to explore and decide if it's something you want to do or skip over if it's of no interest.
