I wish I could do all of my Christmas shopping online, but I never get into the spirit of the season without a little holiday trampling.

I avoid the shopping peak hours like the plague ............ I also (if at all) attempt Boxing Day at about 4-5 a.m. then I go home and enjoy the day off.

Last boxing day I scored a sweet deal on a 40" LCD ............. I got in line really early and then the damndest thing ever happened. The sales people came outside, went through the line and allowed (in order of line) people to pay in full for the item they wanted so they could leave. Then I could just come back later in the day and pick it up.

Canadians ftw! :nana:

Hmm...this would be a good idea except that most people standing in some of the lines don't really know WTF they're looking for.

the experience of standing in line can be fun. Similar to waiting for a collectible to become available.

I've been in line and have been given a number before so I could leave, but I don't think those huge chain stores will do something like that. Some stores had the doorbuster items in the front and you had to get into the line of the item you wanted. I know the Best Buy near me did something, I think gave out vouchers, but I can't remember exactly. Our Walmart stayed open all night long but kept the doorbusters underwraps until in the am.

This is true too. Unfortunately it can get damn cold here in the winter.

This is smart too, it should become a mandatory way of handling crowds. I just thought it was smart to not only give people in line first crack but also save us the time of waiting in that looooooooooong cashiers line too.

I want to move to Canada. I hear there are lots of pretty ladies and nice people up there. I just don't want to deal with the wendigos.

How do poor people get so fat?

From our taxpayers and the food stamps we provide. Pisses me off! I was at the grocery store the other day. This lady in front of me bought 7 2 liter bottles of various sodas. She paid with her access card. Mind you that's ALL she purchased. Soda! I was burning up inside.

Yes, and we're all war mongers and baby killers too, so watch your ass!

:pfft:

And PROUD of it!

Don't forget fast food. Some people to eat that crap everyday. The Walmart near me has a McDonalds right inside.

:ohbfrank:

Ummmm, wow. Just wow. We canadians are too polite for that ____..............but don't take it from me. You might end up looking for your much needed yet extravagantly crappy cellphone in vain if you choose to cut the line. True story.
